If we have systems to entrap or capture space rocks , or more them, or mine them, we could reuse the ability.

Similar systems could be used to stop falling debris of space material falling to earth.


It might lengthen earth's life cycle.

There are plenty of scenario where the earth's safety is endangered by those celestial bodies.
