What is the usual T3 for boosting?

I thought it was the Loki for low-sig reasons, but Brave's Blue Ice posted this video encouraging using the Tengu because it can field 5 modules.

depends on what you need really,
they all work, i use the legion, feyd and the lads use the proteus and at least one special snowflake uses a loki (i may have made that up though)

Off grid legion works fine

The only major drawback is the crazed notion that the inventory would look so much better if merely rearranged ONE MORE TIME.

Tengu is best for shield fleets, it is the only T3 Booster that works with 6 links. Can't be effective used for Armor Boosting.

Legion is only really effective in armor fleets, can fit a stable 100mn Microwarp for uncatchable 10km/s, up to a 5 link fit possible.

Proteus is probably the best for armor fleets, not really effective in shield fleets, works with 5 links and ECCMs.

Loki is the best if you want to use one Boosting T3 for Shield and Armor fleets. (Armored, Skirmish and Siege warfare link bonus) Only 4 link fit possible (But still Combat probes + ECCMs fitted)

Personally I like the Loki for our Wormhole operations, if we are reshipping from shield to armor, I just need to drop a depo and refit links.

It really depends. Lokis are rarely used (afaik) since the tengu does boosting just a whole lot better.

You can get a 4-slot booster for 400mil or so, unscannable by anything bar a virtue-implanted fanatic. You can get a 5-slot booster that can be probed down with mediocre-good skills. You can do a 6-slot posbooster. However, the Tengu is limited to shieldfleets.

Loki can do both armor/shield, so you're a fair bit safer here. It doesn't have bonused sensor integrity links (kind of THE link to have running for any fleet of more than 3 guys that never encounter any damps/jams) , so you could argue it's crappy.

For armor, prot and legion are pretty close to each other. Maxlink setups are easier with the prot due to lowslots and CPU-sub, but the legion (I don't use one for boosting) is apparently also capable of throwing together a somewhat acceptable boosting fit. Or so I heard.

Atleast for tengu/prot, I know that they're fittable with t2 mods and the odd storyline coproc, unlike the other two I usually see dying with a full rack of DG coprocs.

To add, I never lost an OGB and never had to refit after patches so I might be quite off with the last FotM.

seems about right imo

as far as my armour boosting knowledge goes anyway.
