There's a new JOVE BATTLESHIP in the SISI files!

Not sleeper (this isn't a drone), a Jovian ship. It is under thhe "Jove" tab in SISI's files, and has a "pilot": a Jovian, as far as CONCORD sees it (but not only the Jovians are Jovian, if you know what I mean)

This ship is ancient, from the description here, so it seems to be a ship that is both sleeper and Jovian together, from the era in which they split off and the Architects made their home in Anoikis. The Sleepers are, physically, Jovian.

And they are waking up.

Their ship designs are so ugly. I expect it to look like a giant car fender, or a piece of driftwood or something. NO WAIT! Driftwood! I HAVE IT! IT'S GONNA LOOK LIKE A DEAD SEAGULL!

I can't wait to check the stats for this.
Let them roll into the database!

That NPC pilot is rather interesting. Everything here is interesting... I need to download EVE.

Thank you Uriel.

Your hatred for Jove ships seems misplaced. The battleship has a more similar design style to Mordu's Legion and not Jove or Sleepers.

On the contrary to what I just implied, I love the ship.

First of all, hatred is a really strong word. Although I DO hate the Gnosis, so it is appropriate in that situation.

Second of all, I was kidding around. When was the last time you saw someone link a picture of a dead seagull in a spaceship forum? I daresay, I'm breaking new ground here.

Third, I made the joke before I'd even seen the picture.

Fourth, and of greatest import, I actually think it looks like this. And wasn't that a rejected fan design for a BC at one point?

Maybe they never sleep.

Firstly, that's a very cool fan design Smile

Secondly, Gnosis is SoCT: SoCT =/= Jove

Jove ships look more like this: http://pozniak.pl/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Jove-Phantom.jpg

And thirdly, this is neither- it seems to be a ship designed a long time ago, at the time when the Sleepers and the Jovians were still one group, before the Jovian disease was started/created and the Sleepers left to AnoikisSmile

I thought they originally claimed the Gnosis was a Jove design? Or was that not the case?

And, yeah, it's one of the best fan designs I ever saw, which is why I saved the picture. I particularly like the shielded engines.

@Provence:

It's Jovian in the same way the Sansha ships are amarrian- the SoCT is a splinter faction from the Jovians, so they have links to them, but their ships are of their own designSmile

Question in my mind is, how powerful is it? I would hate to see it yield just to single capsuleer ship.

I always thought the old Jove designs looked a lot like Vorlon ships from B5, and that's why I liked them.

This new one seems to be a radical departure from what we have seen in the past of Jovian ship design, but if what people are saying is true, this would be a precursor design from long ago lore wise. Should be interesting to see if or how they tie into the Circadian Sleeper drones.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Yeah, the oval-ish protrusions reminded me of the ones that fold out on the Vorlon ships. The older Jove ships (IRL, not in the lore) all look vaguely organic too which is another similarity that jumped out. Maybe this just because I've been re-watching B5 recently.

EDIT: Also, I want these.

Grrr.
