EVE freezes system on logoff and resets all its setting after reboot.

I have been having trouble getting Cruicible to work on my system.

I have a Windows 7/64 bit OS and had to use the windows XP trick to get it to update correctly, otherwise it would freeze on update restart and never recognize the update.

If I attempt to logoff, EVE client goes black and the system freezes and requires a system hard reboot. I get no logs, no BSOD, or anything else due to the freeze.
After restarting when I start the EVE client again it either
a) it starts up as I have never played with the EULA and the intro video or
b) freezes entire system on startup (then have to redo patch/reinstall/clear files --random what lets run again it seems)
I can sometimes quit instead of logoff but sometimes that may freeze also.

I have tried repairing, uninstalling and fresh install, newest video card drivers. clearing caches and settings, SLI disabled and enabled, disabling other system items that may have been a concern. This only happens with EVE and no problems with any other graphic intense programs.
Am I missing a simple or even complex solution for this problem?

System
Intel Core i7-2600
6GB Memory
Dual 1GB Nvidia Geforce GT 545 (dual monitors but just using EVE fullscreen on one before moving to other modes
Windows 7/64bit

Thank you for any assistance.

edit: add info & I submitted a petition over 1 week ago through the web system and have not recieved any response.

I haven't had a problem with EVE on Win 7/64. As you've already done the repair/re-install/clear cache routine My guess is that there's a conflict somewhere else on the system.

If you can, download Lavalys's AIDA (http://www.lavalys.com/). It'll tell you whether you have out-of-date drivers and/or any potential system issues that might be popping up. The unregsitered version won't tell you everything, sadly, but it's a good place to start.

I can't get rid of my darn signature!  Oh, wait....
