Quite aside from the ancillary tanks issue, people are ignoring the fact that good resists can provide a decent buffer without having to actually put much effort in. That meaning, with resist holes that can be plugged with one module, the ship as flown like a kiter does not actually need to run a dedicated tank - it's small and fast, making it damn near impossible to hit, and when it is hit it can shrug those hits off. Dualtanks sound awful but when you've got two layers of resist buffer on a ship doing ludicrous m/s the advantages add up.

Personally I am dissapointed in the new minny T3 for a number of reasons:

1. Optimal range bonus only, makes this ship an arty boat, or a poor AC choice. Its basically a jaguar.

2. The MWD bonus is located in the defensive mode- which is a very poor choice. As outisde of it, running an MWD its going to be very easy for other ships out of its class (Cruisers) To absolutely wreck it.

3. Sniper mode has no increased range bonus, and again is basically only oging to be usefull for arty.

4. Grid problems. A full rack of 280's with a 1mn MWD is 82.5 grid. Sivpul has 75 base lol.

Overall the minny T3 is not going to be sharing the good fortune the Confessor has. Confessor is only dominant currently thanks to its 10MN AB. With out it, and the confessor is really nothing special. All things considered the confessor with 10MN AB and beam lasers makes a much better destroyer platform than the minny T3.

I think dualtanking will be for defense-heavy engagements, shield for speed, and MWD sig radius for kiting in sniper mode. The point I is that having either/or/both/neither options is that the ship is extremely unpredictable. A shape-shifter in a true sense, just like the T3 cruisers, except somewhat simplified in the way of bonuses and fitting.
