So it is coming out now 11 of the 12 balls the Patriots had during this weekends Championship game were 2 pounds short of air. Those numbers alone make them guilty. Also they cant claim innocence either due to the fact these guys hold the ball all day erryday.

On the same token between plays the Ref's toss the balls in and out of play. shouldn't they notice the difference in pound pressure? Since a lineman on the opposite team is the one who can forward.

I like the PATS but this seems a little strange on all accounts.

say what you will but atleast nascar does a pre and post race car check. maybe the NFL will be gin to check the balls before and after the game.

It was a cold Sunday, of course all their balls were deflated a bit.

It happens sometimes.

In before thread lock.

As nobody else because they stupid Muricans even care about that sport.

Even worse, they have to invent their own sport, just so they can be world champion in it (duh, you are the only one playing it).

p.s.

Real men rugby....

Humm not that interested in some niche sport like American Football, watch a proper contact sport like Rugby.

Does low pressure balls give one team an advantage in that sport?

It's amazing how hearsay can spark the most empty head into spasms of moral rectitude.

Some things to consider:

A) Quarterback Aaron Rodgers admitted to CBS reporters prior to the NFL division championship that he overinflates the balls that he uses. They said as much on the air.

B) Similarly, Eli Manning has previously admitted to the New York media that he deflates the balls.

C) There is absolutely no proof that the Patriots ordered the deflation (though I have little doubt that they did).

The problem is that people are looking at this and gagging, when the reality on the ground is much different: manipulation of the balls is so common in the NFL that the officials -- who handled the balls throughout Sunday's game -- were so accustomed to dealing with equipment that had been tampered with that they didn't even bat an eye. Remember: the officials HANDLE THE BALL EVERY PLAY. They had to know they were deflated. Let me say that again: the officials knew the balls were deflated and did not care.

Why didn't the officials stop the game then and there? Because it is common practice.

So why, then, is this a big stink? Because the Indiapolis Colts got their teeth kicked in on national television, and a bitter member of their staff decided to share an open secret with Bobby Kravitz, one of the most openly-biased shills in "professional" journalism.

EVERYONE knew this was going on. EVERYONE DOES THIS. But that won't stop idiots from going berserk over it, just like it didn't stop the bitter Indianapolis staff from 'tipping off' Kravitz, knowing exactly where it would lead.

Sour grapes. That's all this is.

Wat™?

Sense of humour failure, you just had one. A Rugby ball is the same approximate shape, nowhere did I suggest that neither was a ball.

Handegg™ is a fun sport to watch, and i'm hoping to go watch it when it comes to Wembley later on in the year. I am still a big fan of Rugby and Cricket...

Why did this get moved? OP was obviously talking about Space-Patriots and their attack on Delve with hacked interdiction bubbles!!

(See OP, that's how you keep it EVE related and stealth your complain post in General Discussion. Noob)

Got to agree, all the various handegg games (american, rugby, etc) are way more fun than the football options

If by fun, you mean boring....yeah I agree.

I did spent 5 months in the States and I still don't see how people can endure watching Handegg (cause soccer as the Yanks call it is the true Football) or Baseball. After 5 minutes, you just go and do something more useful with your time.
