What was the last thing you ate? + general food thread

I wasn't hungry enough to get a real lunch so I was looking for a bag of nutts, but I saw those little sugary fruit pie things my father used to get. I got one from Entimens and one from Little Debbie. Little Debbie's was a lot better, but still not as good as I remembered. Have to get a Hostess tomorrow night. Smile

If I survive the crash from this sugar high, my breakfast-dinner after work is looking like scrambled eggs with hot sauce, corn beef hash, and a tamale with more hot sauce. What beer goes with a breakfast like that?

Today I had pizza, about 8 mugs of coffee, then I made some roast chicken with mashed potatoes and peas.

Tomorrow I start off with a balanced breakfast of a sausage mcmuffin and Mikki D's patented hash brown log Big smile

I'm a fan of worst super floppy soppy greasy thin New York pizza and I can't get it around me anymore.

There was one place in a mall that closed down, and Dominos used to make a decent Brooklyn style, but now it comes halfway to burnt and the sauce is really strong. Maybe just my location, but I haven't had the good stuff in a long time. :(

Have to take a trip one day and look for a place that sells a decent New York pizza again.

Just had a burger from a little-known burger shack up the street from my office. BBQ Sauce, bacon, onions, ketchup, lettuce and cheese.

A big plate of assorted vegetable risotto with some baked chicken breast.
Plus a handful of walnuts, a few biscuits and a couple of fresh apples.

A hearty dish of Penne pasta with diced chicken in a curry and bechamel sauce with assorted black beans done in a smoked bacon base

That was lunch, dinner was a mix of rice with noodle bits (colombian style) with grilled chicken with melted havarti cheese on top and assorted vined leaves stuffed with white rice (greek style) plus traditional venezuelan "Ham Bread" which is popular during Xmas time (homemade bread filled with dried raisins, bacon, ham, smoked ham and green olive bits)

Love Xmas time, so much nice food to be had Big smile

Breakfast: some left over Mcdonald's french fries.

Lunch: Cold cereal w/milk.

Dinner: a Greek Salad.

Snack: Choc chip cookie.

We eat something like that here every once in a while, I love beans, black and red ones, specially when you do them in a big pot that has a bacon, chicken or beef reduction for extra flavor.

Right now we are preparing to go to a Colombian style restaurant since right now I have the craving for a "Bandeja Paisa" which is a very popular colombian dish and I love it!

Here's the link for Bandeja Paisa, I used to eat THAT WONDER at least once a week when I was younger, it's delicious, and so far Panama has been awesome for finding local plates from Venezuela and Colombia.

If anyone comes down here to Panama, let me tell you, there's a healthy dose of good restaurants in the Capital, it's amazing! I always drive friends to new places to eat when they come here, keep this thread going I love food har har har
