DBD Reloaded WH Corp Theft (by me!)

Hello all,

tl;dr background about me:
Been playing since Tyrannis, had a longstanding main that I enjoyed participating in corp theft and internal mayhem because it's good money, took a break from EVE because I couldn't make friends anymore (kinda happens when you rip up everyone's POS's and steal all their ships), sold toon for a lot of ISK, made alt with the intention of being honest, but couldn't help myself. I hope this turns into this kind of thread once they see what's happened. Oh, and the link to the blog post on that link is broken, you can find it here (thank you Archive).

In the past I was totally into espionage. I was responsible for dismantling Tri Sol Syndicate, UXM, GriM, etc. There's always been good money in it, the tears are ripe and tasty, and there's something gratifying about coordinating when everyone will be offline or otherwise out of the way and cramming entire POS thefts into an hour and a half or so successfully, ships and all.

After a while I amassed enough wealth and skillpoints to fly whatever I felt I wanted and do whatever I felt I wanted to do. Over time it got old and boring. I spent most of my time ship spinning because I was hunted pretty regularly on my main who was known for what I was doing. I decided to take about a year break from EVE, during which time I sold that main for a good bit of isk, deciding that if I ever returned I'd make a new character and use that wealth for things that were fun and on the up and up.

I returned after a while and did exactly that. I ran missions, explored, etc. It was fun. I eventually ran into a PvP corp called DBD Reloaded, run by Duke Vayne. I decided to run with these folks because they seemed alright, and truth be told Duke is a pretty awesome fellow in real life. He has a kickass job that I can relate to, he's a pretty genuine guy, etc.

What pained me was that immediately upon entering I was given Director. I raised an eyebrow, noticed all his shares were still in the corp wallet, and decided to transfer them to his main, to be an honest bloke. I tried. I really tried.

We were at war with some 6 corps at a time, one of which was a training corp but one with a member that I knew was somewhat wealthy. I decided to contact that person on another alt and ask if we're really causing all that much of an issue, considering we were shooting his noobs pretty regularly. We were, and we negotiated a deal -- Get DBD out of the area, get paid a billion isk. Done and done, I can do that, and I wouldn't mind an injection of isk, either.

I convinced DBD to go wormhole, to "let our sp mature" and "earn isk". I funded most of the POS knowing there'd be a good return for me. Again, I tried to be honest. We found a C2, moved into it, and all was well. The doctrine was to keep everything cheap. Once the T2 cruisers and whatnot started flowing in the itch started to burn a little. I was a good chap, I didn't do anything with that itch, just ignored it.

Then everyone stopped logging in. For days. I was the only one running any sites, alone. Eventually another corp showed up and I got to talking with them. We were friendly and I flew with them regularly. I noticed that someone from another TZ in my corp must have been running, too, because our CHA started to amass a lot of gas and sleeper loot, and the isk amount was really adding up from that player.

Duke logged in one day and told me about this "plan" to get friendly with said corp (not knowing I was already friendly with them), steal their members, and steamroll their POS's. I giggle a little knowing that what he was proposing was... preposterous. Never the less, that was again the last time I saw him for quite some time. I went ahead and discussed Duke's folly with the corp I'd been running with in the whole. They also laughed. I offered to uproot him for a quid, which they laughed at but understood that time is money, and offered me 500m. Small amount of ISK to give them a spare moon and some fun, but I guess people have money to burn these days.

Eventually the itch needed scratched. I was bored, the loot was growing, and it was just time. I am a low sp toon, I can't solo effectively yet in a C2 because of skills (no shame in that, it's the experience that makes the character, not the amount of sp you have), and saw an out back into K-Space with a lot of spare ISK.

I took it.

I logged my Orca alt on, started unanchoring everything, grabbed everything, and ran. I timed it so it'd all be complete within minutes of downtime. I ran it all to Jita, sold it all, and logged for downtime.

Total stolen: 2.2b
Total ISK "borrowed" from corp over time: 1.7b
Total stolen from others while in corp: 750m (alliance formation scam)
Total ISK paid by "clients": 1.5b

Total loot: ~5b

Not bad for being in the corp for a few weeks on a 4.5m sp toon! I've still got it, it seems. Now I can go ahead, go back to my "proper" alt (gotta love dual training), and relax for a little while :)

Lessons they should learn:
1) Don't give ANYONE director
2) Don't let ANYONE "borrow" ISK
3) Don't leave your assets sitting around in space, EVER. NO excuses.
4) Trust NOONE.
5) Be at least somewhat active, people stay happier that way, especially if you're the CEO

What's funny is that I was scanning around the chain today and noticed a bunch of ships. So, wanting to know if they were piloted and whether there perhaps was a fight - I dscanned them down and warped. This was the sight.

So we grabbed some ships and went to do some other stuff.
40 minutes later one of our guys decides to grab a caracal that we left because why not I guess.
He warps to the location in his pod, sees a caracal, piloted by Mr Duke Vayne. The incursus was the closest usefull thing so he hopped in it.

- Duke is a pretty awesome fellow in real life.
- Get DBD out of the area, get paid a billion isk

DBD Reloaded is Recruiting

We do suicide ganking, take Mercenary contracts if we score any, the occasional roam into low/null and pray to baby jesus on sundays. Oh, and we also fly in small gangs.

We have full SRP for fleets run by us, and we fly very low sp and cheap ships and, of which we have doctrines to match.

Requirements:
* If completely new to game, it would be preferable if you were willing to skill into 1 or 2 ships that we fly ASAP

I totally would recommend these guys for small (very small) gang warfare. They're legit with lots of experience. ****, I'd still fly with them if I didn't cash in like this. Who knows, maybe I'll bump into them on an alt or something :)

They killed me with my own **** fit incursus! The funniest part is I hadn't even noticed I wasn't in a POS Shocked!

And why do you feel this means you had to leave corp? Your welcome back with all your roles anytime you like <3

Hey, I appreciate that :) Seriously, you are a really swell guy and I think you're a really awesome person. For fear of the counter-AWOX I'm probably going to stay in NPC for a little bit but I totally would love to keep flying with y'all. Good group, good men, fun times.

OP, you forgot one little thing: Never leave the corp shares in the wallet.

gg m80. 5 bil is a bit of a stretch tho considering you stole your own pos and probably lost more than you made. And stole 5b? lol, try more like 500mil with maybe 450mil of it being yours.

Your logic is correct but you're assuming the POS is mine to begin with ;) Along with the ships I used. You're also forgetting what I was paid. I didn't say I STOLE 5b. I netted 5b.

That was a really long story for only 5 bil. Isn't that like ... only a few hours of work for a WH corp?

That's why you can see in the posts that the CEO doesn't even really care. Big smile

They weren't active in the hole, if that makes any difference. What I took was in raw isk and assets.
