Hi all, I am a noob still and need some help. I want to ask a few questions so here goes :)

1: How do I know what level missions I should be running and when to go to next level?

2: What faction do I run missions for and how do I figure that out?

3: do I do story line , security the epic ar mission in gallente space or do misssions in caldari space being I am a caldar? Or does it even matter?

4: How do I get my sec. status back up? Say like if I was to go -0.1 or -0.2 how do i get it back to 0.0 and how long does it take? And being new can i get my sec status up by doing level 1 missions? Please let me know.Very confused about this aspect of the game. Thanks...

In general, you want a frig for lvl 1 missions, then Cruiser for lvl 2, BC for lvl 3, BS for lvl 4. As to how you know to move up to the next level, it's as much an issue of support skills as anything. I'd suggest asking some of your corpmates in RvB for advice.

2. It doesn't matter what you pick, anything works

3. Do storyline ones, but I wouldn't suggest doing the Epic missions yet (other than SoE), they're lvl 4 missions

4. Just keep killing rats. It'll go up with time (there are ways of making it go up faster, but stuff like ratting in 0.0 isn't really an option for you at your age).

When you say kill rats do you mean in missions or just around belts? And where do these rats spawn a lot?

Mission rats and belt rats should both increase your sec status about the same. You can either go around to belts in 0.8 and below systems or just do missions, either one should increase your sec status slowly but steadily.

Once you get the hang of frigate flying, train up a destroyer. They slice trough L1s like a knife trough butter. Not enough tank for most L2s tough.

Faction have their anti-factions. Caldari hate Gallente and Amarr hate Minmatar and so on. So when you gain a lot of standing with missions for Caldari, it can't hurt to do some mission for the Gallente for a while as your standing with them will have dropped. This way you can ensure standings don't drop too low.

Many people don't take missions if they are against empire faction (caldari tend to give a lot of anti-gallente missions for example). Doing them is not recommended as the standing loss is not worth it. Just refuse and ask another, and if bad one again, you can refuse without standing loss after 4 hours. Just fly to another agent in the meantime.

That is true, if you have the weapon skills trained. I don't know about Caldari destroyer, but Catalyst with lvl 4 turret skills and Core Competency is a Flying Frigate Slaughterhouse in L1 missions. If you stumble upon a bigger group of rats, you just fly through the middle and leave fireworks behind. Of course, if we're talking about PvE here. PvP is probably a different story...

For security standing, don't just rat in one system. bounce to a new one each time you kill something. Security status gains are dependant on the biggest thing you kill in a system.
