approved, but I think it would be better to make all ammos do optimal and falloff, and then start handing out some generic optimal and falloff range bonuses for projectile and hybrid ships. just optimal or just falloff is a substantially weaker bonus when your weapon is half optimal half falloff.

Sniper mode version - change cookpit location
- give it hands on the sides
- Give it rifle in its hand

and there you go you have your standart issue LEV

Add an animation where a piece of it blows off the ship once it hits structure, and everything will be great.

the scorch nerf may as well have not even happened. and barrage, like all T2 ammo, needs a big rework.


The scorch nerf made more sense since energy weapons already have the advantage of instant switching. Projectile weapons on the other hand have a 10 second switch/reload timer, so if you're gonna switch ammo it better be worth the time. It's already barely worth the time with AC's so people are reluctant to switch ammo mid-fight, and with the nerf to Barrage you'll see even less people doing so.

Edit 2: I forgot about the Engineering skill. It doesn't really need more powergrid. It would still be better off with a falloff bonus though, since there are no good frigate sized Minmatar ships with proper autocannon bonuses. The wolf is better fit artillery than autocannon, it doesn't count.

Is it reasonable to assume that following T3 releases will be every other release? So, for instance, the Caldari T3 will come somewhere around April, and the Gallente one somewhere around June?

a tiny fake buff to autocannons mostly confirms that there won't be a real buff for an extremely long time. kind of like the -50 hull nerf to ishtars.

I'm not sure autocannons are that reliant on barrage to deal damage in the first place. Regardless, the falloff boost is appreciated

As others have mentioned - falloff as a bonus would be better then optimal. Falloff you can do either AC or Arty. Optimal shoehorns you into Arty. The MWD sig bloom reduction as part of the defensive bonus seems out of place as well. MWD in brawling range? If not in brawling range I'm going to prefer speed or range. Lastly - I know everyone is excited about vertical and all - but the only configuration that the destroyer is NOT vertical is when it is in speed mode. I cringed a bit at that.

Arty Changes:

10% more damage sounds nice - but honestly only my Thrasher will get the benefit of that. Small ships that use arty off the top of my head:

Thrasher, Wolf, Firetail, Jaguar (lol - replaced by Wolf in most cases)

Minmatar have only a handful of small ships that can fit 280's and not be joke fits. The Rifter, for example, has the worst fitting grid of any combat frigate - both in PG and CPU.

not sure about increasing the alpha though? .. not sure how bad alpha is on thrashers compared to tornado's..

i would suggest making arties falloff based and then provide the falloff bonus instead of optimal..
since your reducing the 50% - 40% T2 range ammo could also de-nerf the the high damage short range T2 ammo?
75% and 50% are hefty penalties to range to have... kind of makes javelin and the other 2 quite useless ammo

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Nerf web strength, Make the blaster Eagle worth using

wolf in proper fit does not use artillery. jaguar doesn't even undock because it's seriously somehow even worse than the other AFs, possibly the worst ship class in the game.

the issue here is that artillery are the second hardest weapon in the game to fit, and autocannons are the easiest weapon in the game to fit. they closed this gap a little bit, but they need to close it way more. otherwise you end up with ships that can not fit artillery, and you get ships that can fit artillery, but get infinite fitting when they fit autocannons.

I hate being negative when it comes to new ships but when you guys design minmatar ships do you just say to yourselves "how ugly and ******** looking can we make this thing?" Please please do not let that slight against God of a monstrosity you posted be anything even close to what it's going to actually look like.

With that being said I love the new class and the bonuses and stats for it are looking impressive. Thanks for all your hard work.
