Where to go after Ishtar ?

Hi - (very) casual player here - I'm on and off all the time and mostly solo'ing PvE missions (lvl4)

.. I fly Ishtar - filled up with medium drones, got 200mm Railgun II, etc.

Now - where do I go from here - shipwise ? As I see it - I can keep training for getting better in my current ship, get more out of weapons, etc - BUT I would like to progress to as cool a ship as possible instead.

So - what would you suggest should be the next ship after Ishtar? (for PvE and minimal PvP)

I would suggest you use the ship bonuses and stop using medium drones.

So switch to Heavy drones and keep Ishtar ?

Of the Ishtar's four drone bonuses, only two of them apply to medium drones. By not using heavy or sentry drones, you are missing out on a lot of what the Ishtar has to offer.

I'd suggest queuing up Heavy Drone Operation V and Sentry Drone Interfacing V if you don't already have them, and try your Ishtar with heavy and sentry drones. The difference in performance is remarkable.

well when it come to drone boats the next t2 ship is the eos. or badass dual rep ovetank dominix. drones boat areprety much a dead end they are so powerfull pvp wise that ccp cant really give us a new drone boat without creating some sort of pvp penalties to go on it

Yeah - I just queued heavy drones. Which is going to take sometime with 5x multiplier. SO my next step is to be able to get T2 heavy drones, and then upgrading for eos.

Get faction drones until you can use T2, they have quite a few more HPs than T2 and not much less DPS.

if you have med drones, get Gila. It does way more damage with med drones, then your Ishtar.

Ishtar for T2 sentries. Gila for T2 mediums. Simple.

For some reason that escapes me at the moment, I've always found the ishtar to outperform the eos in many situations. Eos tanks better but the ishtar puts out better damage.

ishtar has one more bonus to drones than eos, 5% sentry optimal and tracking. all other drones are unaffected.

sentries all the way! for heavies I'd probably go up to lv 4 and buy some geckos, if you like them then probably worth doing it up to 5.

I'd look at a rattlesnake for another drone boat. for other enjoyable ships I like the paladin and machariel. paladin is perfect for laid back f1-f4 deletion of NPC ships. where the Mach has a ton of zoom zoom, and good dps. great for hit & run missions.

Nooes. You train heavy and sentry droneskeep flying the Ishtar.

Despite what people are doing, the Eos is a heavy drone kiting ship.

Eve Minions is recruiting.
