I am pretty new to all this EVE stuff. However I was told to do these sister of EVE arks because they are good for a person of my skill level and all that.

I found the place I needed to be and began to run these "missions". I get my first mission and I splat the first few ships pretty easy. I go to see what modules dropped off their ships and was very surprised. There was nothing in the can at all. NothingCry. I get a cruiser that spawns and I go to work, he takes awhile to kill, but I got him! I hurry to the cargo wreck and there is something in it!
... a metal scrap. One single metal scrap, from a cruiser. that sucks.

Why in this game, I kill a player ship and I get chance at the loot he has fitted. It's happen chance, but I get some of the fit (unless not fitted). These ships fired n me, they are using modules, however nothing ever drops? Is this intended or are the NPC not fitted, or have 5% chance of module drop?

Why are NPC ships not more like player ships when exploded? There should be a decent chance at loot droping even if it's tech I stuff. This is terrible, has it always been this bad in NPC areas? Just turned off.Evil

Well, maybe for people that have played a long time this hunting of others is so easy.

Player fitted ships have a chance of dropping a lot better stuff. Tech II, dead space etc. As far as I can tell, NPC never drop tech II, only few drop dead space or "officer" type of modules.

Why don't the NPC at least drop some stuff for us new pilots? Save us from spending 1 mil on mod, because someone has seeded a bad market(yes let me travel through ganking high sec 7 jumps for save 500k on a module, takes shorter time to get isk on mission).

It just seems to be a really bad mission system, with worse payout. Then no chance to get loot and maybe try out fittings on your ship. Evil Dum.

How many player ships have you seen being killed so far, if I may ask?

Loot drops are randomly generated - sometimes the Random Number Generator (henceforth known as The Loot Fairy) is generous, at other times it isn't.
Many people have found reasons to hate The Loot Fairy in both PVP and PVE situations.

ooookay...

I guess this has something to due with the fact the NPC loot drops are horrible. That they in no way seem to represent the NPC that we fight in game. I think something needs to be looked and improved, many people that want to try out EVE use this type of stuffs as their first huge interaction. #tinfoilhatbakon

Just wait until you start slaughtering them 'en masse. On some lvl4 missions, you will kill something like 50-100 ships of various sizes. Depending on what faction those ships are from, they might hardly have any loot or they all have loot, and if you're lucky you might even get a few decent drops in a hauler full. At that point the only thing loot is good for is to refine, and that's only because very little of it is worth putting on your ship.

If you want (comparatively) good loot, you have to go to nullsec and run anoms, or do nullsec exploration sites.

If you want to get something from every single NPC you kill, train up salvaging and bring one with you on your missions if you can. Not saying that it's great, but it'll give ya something. And some salvage can be worth a pretty penny too.

I have no clue what your on about...

Yes waste the ISD's time, for what.... good luck with your hunt?

The facts I can see is the NPC is very far from what the content in EVE 'pushes" you too? incentive one put it, to fight real ships etc.

Missions are one of the first if not thee first content given to new players, why don't we boost their motives for killing other things. Not dry them out with no loot, except the loot we give them. Would it hurt that bad for the npc to drop tech I stuff, not even named?

I just think it's terrible system, fine I don't want 100 npc, give me 5 harder to kill, but drop loot worth having. The answer is to go to 0.0 and run some complex site that is 10/10 maze or something? Terrible for new players to learn, all I am saying.

m8... try shooting more than 2 NPCs, k? Loot drops are, just like every game out there, based on the RNG and thus subject to the whims of the Loot Fairy.

What is confusing is people acting like this system is not broken some. Seriously these drops are good for new players, or player in general. This terrible NPC hunting, missions and loot is good for this game?

There is just enough old players that don't care what entry is like to the game, or what it was once like? NPC drops are just bad.

The reason why NPCs drop crappy loot ...
... is because people flooding the markets with it.

If NPCs started dropping better loot, it would influence the economy too much.

This has nothing to do with new players ...
... but with preventing older players from farming masses.

If NPCs dropped t2 stuff in highsec, it would not only crash the prices ...
... it would also remove any incentive to build it.

For better lootdrops head to low or nullsec.

The new player argument does not apply at all.

no, more modules dropped would just mean lower price and you would just end up with same income.

plus more cargo space problems

Hmmm

This is a player driven economy, no matter what you do, the loot drops from the missions that everyone can do will always be bad.

You also have to remember the loot drop tables were created for a time when meta loot was the only thing out there, T2 modules hadnt been seeded in game. Now loot tables have been adjusted as well over the years, mostly down in terms of value and output as more and more ppl are in the game farming loot.

In the epic arcs the loot isnt what you should be doing the arcs for and so the majority of the reward itself isnt in the loot there. Look elsewhere for better drops and loot.

Just be thankful that its not the old loot tables where frigs would drop BS class loot all the time and that its a much more rounded loot drop table, if albeit a bit skint one one now.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

Exactly this,

Op, check the link in my Sig,look at the vindicator....you jelly?

Consider i killed a two billion isk tengu in the past and I only got one tenth of the value in drops.
