End of Year Mission Report.

This last year various coalitions have bandied together to put to rest pirate activities in various sectors of space. This dirge on our great community has been quelled for the most part, silenced into the shadows and in some cases--put to the sword completely.

Various commanders have now been praised and rewarded for their fine efforts in battle, pirates often run in fear at the site of coalition forces and their intel channels chatter with warnings when we are seen in 'their' zones. To the commanders of you fine few, you all know who you are, I toast every one of you!

Now let's begin.

Working closely with the coalition and in particular Eve Uni, Shades of Grey and Electus Matari, we were able to quell the activities of the criminals. Here is a breakdown of the year and a region review.

Metropolis.

Eve Uni has had a resounding success in Metropolis, the squads we sent out to deal with the menace that operates in the systems of Metropolis has seen vast reductions in pirate operations. No longer do wannabe criminals stalk the lanes looking for easy kills. A single pirate is never a match for our often 20-30 man highly-skilled select squads.

A typical tactic we use to devastating effect will be to send in our brave tackler/pirate bait ship. We then find the pirates can not resist taking a bit of the cherry. With our eward defence force always on hand we know we will be safe once we are given the jump signal.

Excitement fills as reports of the scumsucker filter through our comms channels. We await that call with nerves jingling.

JUMP JUMP PIRATE HAS COME WARP TO ME.

Usually we all jump in and we burn down the enemey ship. Another super effective task force objective complete. We will scoop up our loot and return the goods to base. In some cases we will trace stolen or plundered goods to their original owners.

Pirate corporations that have been falling to the coalition forces include Space Police, these horrible corp operate in Hagilur and surrouning systems. These have attendancy to turn tail and run whenever a defence force is spotted. They will often sacrifice battleships to our squads in the hope of scoring a kill. They often fail.

Another corporation in the area that we have quelled in the past year is the bas*rds corporation. No longer seen in their home system of Evarti, again driven away by the coalition. We don't know where they went but our patrols certainly did their jobs with consermated ease.

The Chupacabras have also seen reduced numbers. No longer do they own Hek solar system. Similarly, various pirate corps have tried to take down and 'owen' our tactical lowsecure system of Auner. Our various defences on the Auner front always putting down any resistance that forms there.

Molden Heath.

Molden Heath to the coalition is traditionally a peaceful area that has good trade and decent mining and mission systems. Our squads have been often dispatched to put out any fires that have spread in the area and as is often the case, the pirates have been moved on.

Notable pirate corporations that have moved on due to succesfull ops include.

Gentlemen of Low Moral Fibre. Their name speaks for itself really, numbers have been reduced rapidly and activities in Molden Heath are no longer seen as a threat.

The Hatchetery. A long running feud between the Hatchetery and our coalition members the shades of grey resulted in a complete evacuation of their home system Oddelulf. Nobody knows where they want, needles to say the sight of coalition forces disrupting activities put them off doing what they did.

As above, Gunpoint Diplomacy alliance lost vast numbers of pilots. Once 50 strong they now are about half the size. Some of them have even moved into Bosena solar system for more safety and closer high secure access to space. They will often run from our forces and then mock us when they bring equal forces or bigger ships and we move to the safety of high secure space. Security status hurts hurgh?

Mission 100% success.

The future and advice.

Pirate corporations come and go, none ever really stick around when they get trouble and see defence forces come after them. Metropolis and Molden Heath are now safer places but pilots should still be en-garde. When one pirate alliance is crushed another will jump into its place.

The Xziles are a corporation that will conduct some pirate activities in the area. Black Rebel Rifters have been seen conducting piracy in the area, these newcomer corps and alliances will often lose ships to our forces as they understemate the powers that we harness.

Collectively in time the pirate activities will be little to not existance.

Advice would be. DO NOT visit their lowsecured systems. Low secure is a dnagerous place for a reason. Appropraite training is needed before attempting to operate in low space. My advice would be to seek out an eve uni recruitment officer who will then often instruct you on your best career choice and offer you a place or will seek to put you into one of our coalition forces.

Be alert in highsecure space. Some pirates in Metrpolis and Molden Heath have found ways of travelling in highsecure space even with -10 flags. This quite frankly is an outrage, be prepared to attack any that you see on gates as they can not ever fight back. You will also have assistance from the concord ships that patrol on every gate in high sec for your safety!

When mining make sure that you watch for piartes. Again they have found ways of blowing up ships in suicide methods. Do not let them. If you see a destroyer in your belt simply move off. Not being able to give them kills that are against the rules will only hurt them more. Concord will kill them as well, though i'm not sure if half of them realise this. As they will always try to warp off and will never stay in the belt for you to attack back! Insurance removal will also greatly reduce these tactics with only the super rich doing this.

So fly safer, fly smart, don't give easy kills and don't visit lowsec unneeededly. Remember the coalition is here to make your space safer.

Thanks and merry holidays.

What are you using as the definition of "pirate" ??

I only ask as I find the difference between "freedom fighter" and "terrorist" is entirely down to which side of the fence you are sat.

I said the exact same thing that day I walked into parliament with a bomb. The guys called me a terrorist but I was merely expressing my freedom to liberate my people.

While Eve very rarely produces "fair" fights, bragging about 20 dudes pummeling one just makes you look weak.

Translation: we blob the hell out of them and feel awesome when they refuse to fight our overhwhelming numbers. When they come back with numbers and we run like hell, we tell ourselves we're still better than them because we have sec status and can hide in highsec.

Your mission goals were too narrow to garner any real respect OP. You must expand your targets and quell one of the great Pirate hubs in the game: Amamake. Once the scourge of low-life/no-life pirates is expelled from that den of iniquity you will have reason to demand respect from the entire EVE community.

Until then *yawn* Cool

I heard there's also pirates in Aunenen. You might want to go kill them too.

Traffic's been rather slow lately Blink

On a more serious note; Good job, well done! People keep crying and moaning about how pirates ganked their ships. I have great respect for fleets of angry carebears that come knocking for payback.

They drop good loot too!
