Mac Eve Tools is a Macintosh skill planner / character sheet for Eve.

Mac eve tools can do skill planning based on skills, certificates and ships.
You can download it here

Snow Leopard is the minimum OS supported. Leopard won't work.

I'm no longer actively developing this program anymore, however I have open sourced it, so if you feel like poking around the insides you can find the source code here.


I plan to update it to support the new API changes, however I'm going away on holidays soon, so I probably won't be able to do anything until I get back in early November.

I second that, even if not under active development, MacEveTools core functions serve their purpose very well. Thanks for your hard work Flammard and for open sourcing the code. I can't say that I will be able to carry that torch in the near future, but I'm in the process of learning a few programming languages and hope I will be able to contribute.

Yeah cool, I was wondering what was gonna happen with this and the new API, figured it might die a death. Look forward to seeing the new version. Some months ago there was a small flurry of interest in developing and fleshing out open sourced code. Dunno what happened though, seems to of come to little fruition.

Oh and we used a little officer mods. KIDDING! We used a lot of officers mods, A LOT! Because we don’t :censored: around in low-sec.

No, please, please, PLEASE don't let it die, it's the only chanche we have at avoiding emulators and it's a really cool app too. I just couldn't play without it!

Any hope for it actually using the new skill database?

Currently It shows that it uses Incursion DB but I still see skills like Bureaucratic Connections while skills like Distribution Connections are not there.

He said he would update it after his "Vacation", however, i have not even seen him login to game in quite some time. It might be one of those "Extended" vacations.

Place this in ~/Library/Application Support/MacEveApi
Rename the old database.sqlite to something else or use whatever method you like to back it up. Extract the archive.

I hope that this is enough. I actually tried using the source code because I never had the already compiled application. I'm also totally new to all this.

Let me know how it works.

Hi Everyone

I'm back home and should be able to get an updated version out in the next week or two. I've got other work to catch up on which is a higher priority for me, but once that's done I can release an updated version of MET.

If you get the 404 like I did go to the address bar and remove the +'s from the filename.

Question: Is this tool going to be updated to include the newer ships? (Tornado and Oracle, for example?)
