Issues, Workarounds & Localization

When I get a private message or join a fleet, the conversation room opens in its own stand along window which is the way I want it. However over the past 4 days every time I open it, it will appear fine for about 7 seconds, then go black completely. It is however just a glitch. By resizing to most of the width of the screen I finally get the chat box. The black area to the right of the chat box is about 4-5 inches wide and I need to fully expose the 4-5 inches of room prior to the box being seen. I do not have a SS but let me try to explain
