I've been mulling this over and it seems like tying this feature to a small tax would be a good idea. Corps lack tools to tune their level of risk so a small tax to CONCORD for the protection would be exactly this - a way to balance safety (risk) vs. profit (reward). Add in a social corp and you got:

Safest - immune to wardecs/awoxing - the social corp (with a 11% tax and all the restrictions of the current NPC corp)
Less safe - immune to awoxing - normal corp with FF turned off (5% tax)
Normal - at risk to both external (wardec) and internal (awoxing) threats (no tax)

Corps could switch between each with the 24h notice (assuming nothing is deployed in space and not under wardec).

There still needs to be some buffs to player corps to make them valuable/persistent and worth staying in and defending, but this actually could work as a tool to give players ways to set the risk and reward they are comfortable playing at.

That would go against the reason for this change. This change is to encourage people to recruit noobs by making it safe to do so. Adding a punishment for turning this option on will just leave most people leaving it off and not recruiting noobs.

Even if They took the Avoxing Out of the Game completely it wouldnt send millions of players to sign up up for a corp. Eves Core gameplay is trust no one the player base even Glouts with pride about this . maybe in the beginning when i started playingI wouldve fell for The trailer hype.now I just find myself logging in just to skill up for a Capital or Bling ship just waiting to be ganked or avoxed i dont mind if i didnt have to pay for like in Day Z I dont mind being griefed.I just dont want to be Multi Charged to play a Game And Get Avoxed. If It was F2P Or Didnt have to pay so much for ships and skills and wait so long .if a Titan or a Macherial Respawned in your Station After you pay for the Unlock once! It would be Fair at least if I get avoxed or ganked Ill have a Fresh new spawn waiting for me just like my clones. Yup, absolutely no "give" at all.

Destroyers got buffed because they were useless as a ship class. Tier 3 battlecruisers were released as a new ship class with no expressly-stated intent to be ships used solely for pvp. Neither of those changes were created for the sole benefit of pvpers in mind; it just so happened that pvpers took advantage of these features.

The tags-for-sec thing is the only valid example you've made. And even then, it's a fringe mechanic that's almost useless for high-sec pvpers, because the gankers are usually constantly -10 anyway (there's no sense in buying your sec back up if you're going to lose it all immediately), and the warriors don't lose sec to begin with. So yes, while it's a pvp benefit, it's an extremely minor one. Go ahead and name some others.

I know plenty of gankers that use tags to keep them from being hunted in high-sec...

And also a HUGE amount of low-sec dudes that keep their sec up high enough so they can if needed just enter high-sec.

Lol read the summer CSM mins? The two nonBear/nullBlueBears tried telling ccp all these things. Basically got told their opinions were trash and to shut up and remember they are only there as AN ADVISORy COMMITEE. They cant change ccps mind when ccp decides to do dumb things.


A. Mara never said to ask CSM to change stuff, just to get CCP to clarify it more. But you are too damn stupid and ignorant to even read something.

B. CCP not listening to CSM...clearly you are young or stupid...Monocle-gate...


P.s. so far, it has just been mentioned on a twitch stream. As did many other things like the 10-year veteran station and the POS overhaul and W.I.S.

So, first let's wait and see what is actually all going to happen, how it going to be implemented and most of all...when.
