We got all the fancy animated engines (T3 Dessier, Exequrorthingy), Transfomer destroyers, Missile turrets moving in and out of the ship (Onyx).

But the animation for the Sentinel/Crucifier is still not there.

So, the question which will never be answered; When?

Oh also, don't give me this answer;

The system for moving engine boosters unfortunatly is not.

With every update to SiSi, i hog in and take a sentinel out in hopes they would sneak that animation in. And wasn't that shown like almost 2 years ago?

Actually it still applies. You'll notice that all of the above ships are lacking in any engine trails or "fire plumes" from engines that animate.

You'll notice that the engines on the animated pieces of the Incursus don't have plumes or engine trails either. Only the engine heat effect.

We're going to see some crazy stuff once CCP gets the moving engine issue fixed.

If the pieces are used only for warp, they don't need to be animated with engine trails I think. There is no engine trails in warp.

CCP has discovered a new technique with engines that can be seen on the Confessor and the new Exequror: Instead of full-on engine flames you use only a small flame and some heat distortion. For elements that are hidden most of the time you don't assign them to ever create trails and for elements that are visible most of the time (and would thus hide during warp) you can assign them to create trails as normal since there are no trails in warp.

The Crucifier could have its two outermost engines changed to use this new "microflame" that would hide neatly behind things when the .. I'll call them "pontoons" .. are retracted.
