PI on a Corporate Level

My corporation has moved to null, and I was curious about starting a PI program on the corporate level to have some very large but semi passive (passive enough that you can still dedicate your time to whatever else and making a stop at your planets every 2 days or so)

We planned on doing this by using the planets in system to get to P4 from R0, which we have plenty of the right types plus a ton of barrens for factory planets. Some(fewer) people would be dedicated to the extraction (Extracting and turning it into p2) and then people dedicated to the manufacturing (p3-4).

The P4 is simply for the sake of consolidating the size of materials on the jump freighter
But we've tun into a few problems-
1.) How to fairly split payment between those who participate
2.) How do we solve the problem of bottlenecks (there is only one lava planet but 5+ gas and barrens)
3.) Should we just have the players drop off the materials in a corporate hangar?

We're used to making spreadsheets, so that's no problem, but we do want to do things on a larger scale so we need ideas

Buy materials from individuals.

This.

Otherwise you could split all proceeds based on the amount of active characters in the chain. IE every contributing character receives profit (So those who dual box / multi account get equal share). Just make sure all people are contributing.

You could do something like paying them double the export fees and then maybe like 2-5% of the profit (depending on the amount of toons contributing) as a monthly salary. So someone with 6 toons might get a 3% salary for contributing but each toon would receive export fee x2 through a contact so their individual wallets can stay funded.

How about the number 2? I'm having a hard time figuring out where we should go with that.

Let's say we're making Sterile Conduits for a P4, and have 5 Gas, 5 Barren, but only 1 lava.

Would it be better to focus on P3's made fromm just Gas and Barren or just wait for the lava bottle neck to make the P4's?

The problem isn't the pricing, it's the capacity issue. We would make more profit by filling a jump freighter with the P4's then P3's. But would it be worth it to just stick with the P3?

The demand for T3 products is really low, the only exceptions are robotics and guidance systems.

you should probably make T4 if possible

If I bought the resources from players, then everyone would want to be doing the higher end things right? Nobody would fele like it's a fair deal if they were assigned to R0's

just set up a buyback program for p4 and let your members handle the production chains themselves.

everything else may sound awesome, but is usually much more work for no additional reward.

I agree, p3 products have no real use other than to make P4 (excluding those mentioned) and most people just build P4 straight from P2 so the market is very small.

A lot of P2 sells very well (POS fuel items) .

Regarding he Lava Planets, as far as I am aware there is only one product that is exclusive (Felsic Magma) to them so its best to do P1 on those planets to maximize the output.

Nobody in their right mind will export P0. All your members should be making P1 or P2 items.
