No loot at all from overseer wreck?

I've just completed all 4 stages of a serpentis fortress escalation.

Whilst I got loot of varying value from the Shadow spawns in the first three escalations, the overseer in the fourth had NOTHING in its wreck.

I know loot is very much random and have had several occasions where nothing fancy dropped in an overseer wreck, but I've never had one that did not drop even T1 loot.

Anyone experienced this before? Have I just always been lucky to some degree previously?

Did it drop an OPE? If not, then it's either the wrong wreck or a glitch. AFAIK, all overseers are supposed to drop OPEs (note that there's a difference between DED overseers and rats named "Overseer" that are really just renamed rats that are triggers).

This came up last week I believe. Overseers in escalations are not the same as overseers in DEDs. Overseers in DEDs always drop at least overseer effects. Overseers (and in some sites, the structure that can drop the juice) will often drop absolutely nothing.

Ah - thanks for quick answers.

As I was confused by this, I petitioned it at the time.

The current response is that it is extremely unlikely that such an overseer would have a completely empty wreck and someone must have uncloaked and looted it before I got to it.

I've responded that this was not the case as there was only me in system and have escalated.

Seems strange to have a totally empty wreck whilst at the same time a pop up telling me something along the lines of "I should be wishing that all such bosses would be so generous...." Lol

Altho i think stuff in nullsec is a bit confusing sometimes, as you have sites like this which basically are not DED complexes but unrated sites and yet still give Overseer Effects on the final stage. But in general: DED rated site - OPE guaranteed (i think) vs. DED unrated site - nothing guaranteed.

Yep - got quote from escalated petition GM saying this was as it was supposed to be.

Seems kinda warped that whilst getting a mission pop up saying how richly rewarded I was going to be, I got nothing!

Having said that.... I did get a snake omega from the first escalation shadow - so pretty happy overall!

Same thing happened to me on my first succesful escalation.

Was a blood - watch escalation and I ended in some lowsec, lost 1 cane to local residents, tried again and cleared the site.
End-rat loot was 10 crash, and I was so thrilled by that loot that I stucked for a while going through other wrecks. Stayed way too long and the locals got a second cane :D

Was a good learning experience anyway. Never expect anything from the final rat of an escalation! :D
