Thanks for the replies!

Maybe i will try my hands on more stuff!
Looks much better with wingy bits. Keep going, looking forward to more updates.

The next project im preparing is an Industrial ship something like a mobile factory for small ships like frigates.
It will be big, somebody know the Arc Hammer from star wars?

Something like that will it be.
I know a thing like that will never be in EVE, but hey the Minmatars are tribes wich are very mobile so why not a mobile factory for them?

You can never have too many wingy bits.

Nice work OP, looking forward to seeing more.

On a side note, the A10 Warthog seems to epitomise the thought process behind most Minmatar ships, I.E take the biggest gun you can find, strap or tape on some engines, add some wingy bits and a pilot.

What I find amusing about all the ship designs but for a very few is, here you go building a ship you KNOW is going to be bombed, shelled, shot at, zapped and otherwise totally abused, and you put sticky-outy things that are sure to be the first things blown off completely. One can only pray those items aren't important to the ship's function...but, then....if they aren't...WHY ARE THEY THERE???

Even how sections of the ship's body are held together by these tiny little bits that if hit would certainly break a ship in two, or three, or worse. There's always this need to have "wings" though there's no air where it'll operate - and if not that, some feature that looks like it'd fit nicely on a BOAT....yeah, all those deepspace oceans.

I know. The strongest, most rigidly tough structure - the design real engineers (instead of itinerant artists) would design, is featureless and totally "uninteresting." Like...a SPHERE, maybe.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Here is a generalized article for your design.

yep yep and nope...

solar wind.... but in this game we're talking about heroism, not realism. So a visually appealing ship to fly will always be more popular than a borg cube or sphere.

I think the OP is off to a good start in the idea of grasping "conceptual design". It's an important skill to have because very often a designer has to jump into an existing system.

Take the tier 2 destroyers for example. They look like submarines. But each faction has one that looks like a submarine. So someone was up to the task of :
1. make it look like a submarine and model it after known submarine styles and
2. make it look like it belongs to the respective empire faction

If you overthink that you'll screw it up.

(This is why I don't do graphics - I'll stick to code thank you)

And here we go for the second ship!

I thought of an ship for the Thukker Tribe, most of them have an nomadic livestyle and this ship would be an excellent fit for them.

Its a Supercapital sized ship roughly 15km long but that is not the most important thing, this ship( I call it MIDGARD) has the ability to drag asteroids towards its "mouth" cut it in pieces and then refine it.

Then in the middle of the MIDGARD the minerals and other recources needed for the production of ships or modules are stored.
And in the last segment smaller ships like cruisers would be constructed.

And nao zeh images!

Not a bad attempt at all if you ask me. I currently agree with this tho:

At first glance that looked like a flattened JackPhoon. I like it, needs wingy bits and duct tape.

And maybe two spotlights above the asteroid collecting *mouth*, so to make a face like pilgrim :>
