Hey, I'm thinking of starting to rat belts and combat sites in NPC null for ISK - I'm getting bored of station trading. Since I'm already trained into hybrid turrets and caldari battlecruisers, I'm thinking I'll grab a Ferox. I've never actually fitted a ship larger than a destoryer for PVE; however, so here's what I was thinking as a kitey rail fit. Given that my net worth is also about 200mil, flying a BS represents a fairly significant investment on my part, so I don't want to screw it up.

Stats from EFT:
356 DPS with T1 Antimatter
210 DPS with T1 Iridium (Hits out to targeting range)
(Should I invest in CN ammo?)

50 DPS from drones (I know, **** drone skills)
Speed: 368
Cap: Lasts 23 minutes (Is this okay? Stable if I turn off ANY module)

EFT Paste:
[Ferox, Ferox PvE solo low skill fit]
Beta Reactor Control: Capacitor Power Relay I
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

Experimental 10MN Afterburner I
Large Shield Extender II
Large Shield Extender II
Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I
Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I

250mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge M
250mm Prototype Gauss Gun, Antimatter Charge M
Core Probe Launcher I, Core Scanner Probe I

Medium Ancillary Current Router I
Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Hobgoblin I x5

Any suggestions are appreciated - even a completely different fit/ship that might do the job cheaper, given the limited scope of my skills (Caldari to BC, Gallente to Cruiser, Hybrid skills good, Missile skills okay, Abysmal drone skills)

This would be perfectly fine for belt ratting in nulsec or running low-to-mid level anoms vs Guristas or Serpentis rats.

However, 250mm Rails will have trouble tracking frigate rats of any kind inside of 20km. You can swap MFS for a Tracking Enhancer to improve on this. You can also drop some tank to fit a stasis webifier so that when they get close you can web them and hit more easily. A set of small drones is also very useful in this regard.

Get T2 small drones trained. They are totally worth it.

For ratting when T2 is not an option, T1 ammo is the proper choice. Faction hybrid ammo doesn't offer better tracking than T1 iirc. Plus price. Once you get T2 rails, Javelin has best tracking but shorter optimal than antimatter.

Thanks for the quick reply. Would would be considered low-to-mid level anoms, if that's not too noobish to ask?

Quick edit: Also, if I somehow came across a C2 wormhole, would this ship work there too, or is that just crazy talk?
