So, was the point of the Recon rebalance to enable certain recons like the Lachesis to suddenly solo HACs,

What im thinking/hoping is that CCP will reduce arty PG a smidge. If thats done, numerous arty fits will be slightly more viable. Not to mention huginn PG would be workable with 720s.

Also. Why no scram/damps? Better tank than all those shield mods. Hard for them to shoot you when they cant target past 10km and youve got long scrams to prevent MWD operation to get in closer. Lach is far more a **** ship than huginn could ever hope to be. Least you can shoot back at the huginn.

I'm more concerned with the fact that I can get 500dps out of a recon than whether or not the listed fit is optimal. In the manner you described, scrams/damps would work very well. I am merely illustrating what can be done so long as the concept isn't completely absurd. 500dps rails + 670dps ASB tank is far and above what I was expecting to see from a combat recon.

I think someone, who shall rename unnamed, forgot to adjust fitting resources after changing weapons systems on these ships.

For example, I can get 96k EHP on a linked Rapier without using a single fitting mod or fitting rig because it no longer needs all that PG for projectile weapons. And that is with only 3x LSE IIs and 2x CDFE IIs. It can easily fit 4x LSE IIs.

i still hate what they have done to the lach. thats still not a very good solo fit regardless of the dps. a neut will put u out of business and u cant really afford to drop shield tank to fit a cap booster.

imo if they were hellbent on taking away its missiles they should have just made it a creodron ship. it says right in the description that roden has comparatively weak electronics. so why r they making a recon? a drone lach would function the same in fleets and be head and shoulders over they half baked one they left us with.

Not this lach. Max range for scram of what... 40km? Assuming a perfect scenario? Meanwhile curse gets a neut range of 36.

Not the scram lach. it's been one of my favorite ships throughout my eve career. u basically get recon 5 fit a true sansha scram (which can reach 27 km heated) 3 heavy launchers 2 425 autos, 3 hammers and 2 hobs, and about 70k worth of shield tank and 250 dps worth of passive recharge. before they changed it, a lach fit this way could take on about 5-6 frigs. it was capable of soloing a curse if the curse stuck around to long or u got a lucky scram cycle. now it would have a problem taking on as little as 2 frigs. i fail to see how this is an improvement.

as a side note the scram lach could also kill cynobals and vagas. the one we have now cannot.
