"Ugly" in the EVE universe seems to waver tempestuously between rejected Cirque du Soleil clowns and rebellious 1980s-era eastern European youth movement members... neither of which are ugly in the traditional sense of the word. "Freak" might be applicable in some instances, but it doesn't really conceptualize the whole expanse of what we deal with here.

Politically incorrect as these waters are that I am treading in (at least I I surmise they are. I tend to be very... insensitive to such trivialities), you look as if you may have suffered some kind of permanent brain trauma from a serious accident. Less ugly than... really crazy expression.

On the other hand insight may be gleamed from this episode of the Twilight Zone that just aired in my time before my cyronization. We are the freaks and they are the paramount of beauty.
