My first memory.

I had been in FW a matter of days/weeks.
I was in Kamela on the undock in a punisher I think wandering where I should go to die to Rifters today.
Then I saw 1 dread undock, then another and another until like 10+ dreads were near me and then massive flashes of light blinded me and blew my mind at the same time when they jumped out.
The dreads belonged to Wolfsbrigade and it turns out that they had just jumped into Amamake and killed a Pandemic Legion Titan along with a few capitals belonging to PL, losing a fair few of their own in the process.
Ever since then I have had a lot of respect for Wolfsbrigade and Shadows of the Federation.

Thats the first memory that comes to mind when I try to think about my time in FW, whats yours?

nice :) my first memory was being in a BS fleet at the end of 2012 with some of the old guard dudes who were leaving FW but it was a pretty anti-climatic roam. my favorite memories are of flying in the grand **** cruiser fleets that once roamed the bleak lands. Back then we could get 30 reliable militia pilots together in cruisers and Minmatar would have all the guys in Huola ready to form up and we'd have some truly epic struggles, both sides perfectly matched with no TiDi to mess up the flow, going at it deadlocked for 30+ minutes with everyone's mind fixed on thinking of what tactic we could possibly pull out of our ass to take the upper hand and win.

I remember being a newb when I moved into Oicx. I spun buttons to get my first navy vexor bpc's. After somehow making it into deep low with an itty V with a packaged Covetor, I mined all my ore for it and built it next door in Vlil. It was ugly and slow, with navy ogres, as I lacked the skills for the T2 heavies. I still would for a while. With a 1600mm tungsten, one Corelum C remote medium armor rep, 3 dual 150's and a neut, I joined a running fleet that was already in an engagement. I didn't know hardly anyone, but my corp ticker was accepted without questions. 4 jumps out, we were told to hold the gate, those who hadn't jumped. Bit the fight was on the other side! they were saying. Confused, I orbited the gate with about a dozen others, my VNI being the smallest hull there, but I was proud of her. The pride only a builder can know. A pride I have managed to hold on to when I assemble my war machines today.

Frantic, the warnings come in over comms to be ready. For what? There now, bright red and huge, a Bhaalgorn, the first one I've ever seen. SHOOT IT! Someone yells. I freeze. What can I do, I thought, against that thing!? Boom. It was gone. What the fug happened? Suddenly a massive contingent of orange flashing on my overview. I freeze again, but I'm ready to fight! DON'T SHOOT, calls to hold fire. Killmail is linked in local. The One Shot Bhaalgorn kill, full faction fit. 8k damage. The squids seemed appeased. http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=15152745 We take the gate and join the surviving members of our fleet. Someone is there in a navy Amarr battleship, in half structure. Logi is gone. I mention my pitiful medium armor rep and slowly get his armor down. I cap out 4 times, embarrassed. I ask if I would be able to take cap from him with a NOS, to which he happily agrees to lend cap to. I'm a ****** and am reminded it is a a neut. I quickly turn it off before I feel more stupid. He's happy enough at 80% armor now. We all get ready to warp home, GCC reset. On the other side, a HAC gang the others tell us not to worry about and to keep on to the destination. I get warp disrupted. I have GCC for that recent friendly hair-brain neut. Regrets are expressed for my loss, but I'm not so bothered, still partly blown away.

We joined forces to fight Fatal Ascension, then declared a 15m ceasefire before hostilities would resume between us. A great introduction to FW and the story about my first VNI loss to Lost Obsession.

I first joined FW back in the height of the Minmatar Civil War as a member of White Lotus. I remember my recruiter telling me that we were based out of Lulm but to not enter the warzone through Ossogur gate into Ammamake as it was too dangerous, I was told to go through Bosboger instead...

So I enter ther warzone in my tech 1 sfotted slasher and see a dozens of reds in system (Bosnoger was Winmatars home system) and think to myself HOLY **** this is the safe entrance?!?

What followed was a bizzare time for a new pilot where all the high sec Matar trade hubs were camped by Winmatar and allies, basing out of the system on the front line of the Civil War spending most of the time fighting other Minmatar whilst not knowing anything about PVP, not having much supplies, not on team speak and not knowing what the war was about!

Talk about a trial by fire - every other setback I've seen us take in Minmatar FW has been easy to handle compared to those hellish first couple of weeks for me!

My first memory of FW??

"Hans, what are all these crap frigates doing in LS hanging out on this gate?"
"I dunno Lost, are they shooting you?"
"No, they're just sitting here doing nothing"
"Is it a gate camp?"
"Well it sort of looks like one, but they aren't shooting me, so...."
"Are you shooting at them??"
(scans wreckage field)
"Not any more"

It was a while back, but that's pretty much my first memory

Undocking in hek in a rifter, seeing an amarrian wt drake and tackling it, shouting in minmatar militia 'GUYS DRAKE TACKLED' then getting laughed at.

Tried it again and managed to muster up some other newbies to try to kill the drake. We fought hard in our frigates but alas, no dead drake (although half shields when he docked).

He killed two of my rifters that day! Now my under cover operation to destroy the amarr from within is almost complete MWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAAA /coughs

something about docking games in huola and horrible arbitrator fits (back when docking rights didn't exist, i am glad we have them now). I also tried to kill at least one wolf (hands down the best AF back then, everyone flew them) with a retribution (1 medium slot) but i unsurprisingly never succeeded.

one of my first kills was a rifter which had a minmatar cruiser skillbook in cargo - made me a little sad back then.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value
