Maybe that is the problem?

I find it odd the community is fine with their solution though.
Played alot of mmo's but never got worried about getting banned for remaking a character. Even saying it sounds dumb.

^^ The issue isn't remaking a character. You can do that to your heart's content. The issue is remaking a character to evade the consequences of driving that character to -10.0 within the space of a week.

In this case it's about remaking a character over and over again
for farming stuff that's meant to be farmed only once per character.

You missed context I think. ISD Ezwal already said it's a no go.

No, I was replying to Sugar. She seems to think that remaking characters in general is a no-go. At least, that's how I read it.

This is the only public ruling I am aware of on this issue.

It is an exploit to 'recycle' characters to avoid the consequences of a negative security status. That's a public ruling. (It includes recycling them before they actually hit -5 and suffer serious penalties too).

Biomassing and remaking characters is, in general, acceptable unless CCP have a ruling otherwise.

However, don't do it. Ask a GM to be sure, and once you get a ruling, follow it, and ask the GM to post it publicly (as stated you are not ever allowed to copy/paste GM correspondence yourself and are restricted from even publicly posting the gist of the ruling). ISD members are not GMs although they tend to know the rules fairly well.

No i understood the context this was put in to.

I still believe its shameful to have to tell a paying customer when they can delete their character.
I dont really care about the circumstances, thats for trial accounts.

Ah ok, I misunderstood you then.

I get your basic premise. Thing is, if unconditional re-rolling were allowed, EVE being what it is it would be, and indeed was in the past, exploited to e.g. farm COSMOS mission items as per OP, or avoid the consequences of going neg sec. Are you cool with that?
