How safe is playing EVE in 3d?

Alright, before you laugh, I'm not a big "Computers Guy". ANyways, I'm wondering how safe it is to play EVE with the 3d NVIDIA feature enabled. Is it entirely special effects, or is there anything I need to be worried about when things are flying out at my face?

Like, epilepsy?
You shouldn't be playing if so.

It's not going to hurt you, no. The particles are nothing more than pixels on your screen.

I am literally crying from laughing. Bravo!

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I doubt it will work well, tbh.

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

I hadn't considered epilepsy, but you've added onto my worries.

You can't be serious...

I haven't encountered a single thing that would worry my eyes, in this game.

Anything Nvidia could possibly add to the game, I don't think will hurt you. At all. Ever.
Unless you have aforementioned condition where you should not be playing video-games.

My main concern was some sort of thing where my brain fails to see the difference between reality and the virtual word, and perceives any wound inflicted on my ship as 'real', possibly spiking my blood pressure and causing real-life damage. I've read about things like that, although admittedly mostly in fiction.

I see.

It's not quite like the 3D you see in the movies. In fact, not at all. Asides from the new Asteroid particles, nothing really flies towards the camera as much.
You can always just zoom out.

Best not to risk it. If you get ganked by an alpha fleet, you might explode all over your room.

Cleaning blood off your desk and computer is a perilous endeavour.

You have to be a serious mental case for that and would most likely be treated already. :p
Nothing is going to happen. EVE really isn't meant for 3d.

And if you don't play zoomed out,
reducing everything to brackets anyway, then you are doing it wrong.

3D in space, with mostly nothing around and barely anything moving within sight... boring.

I just had a thought.

What if Hilmar decides to trap all the online players in the game by manipulating our VR gear? We could all potentially be trapped inside New Eden for years, forced to live internet spaceships as our reality until we can clear the last room of a 9001/10 complex, and if we get podded, we die for real!

The worst part, we'd all look like ourselves from RL due to a mirror computer program that uses our biometric data to construct and replicate our physical appearance, and then bypass the avatar creator, and make the universe full of...::shudders:: unspeakable things..neckbeardy things!

I only hope, that as a Beta Tester, I can rise to the occasion and become the lone dual blaster wielding gunboat commander that saves us all after falling in love with a badass kiting specialist pilot with legendary RoF implants and sacrificing myself after she is killed in order to deal the final boss the last volley of void that vaporizes the last of his hull..

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I just had an image of myself in one of those big VR face masks.
