That said, I wouldn't mind if they seek out inactive players to poke around. We know that the Seekers aren't stopped by our cloaks to scan things, as there's been a few images where they scanned a cloaked ship.

I think I just saw some sleepers screaming get the pod at eachother.

It's good to know that we aren't so different after all.

Yes, for now they won't be able to bring down a freighter on autopilot slowboating to a gate EVEN if they would attack players out of the blue.
For highsec you'll need to wait 2-3 minutes until they are able to take down your shields, armor and struc your Pod comes with. 30-40 damage per volley eacht 8-10 seconds per Seeker.
As they didn't point me on Sisi we'll need a bunch of Socket Closed's to suffer podlosses.

Still they are fascinating!
Locked 4 Seekers and send small and medium scout drones to attack them, even with focused fire my drones kept switching targets instead of destroying a single Seeker. Sentries kept their target. Could it be some close-range drone-control disturbing module? I didn't lost my lock while orbiting close - doesn't seem to be an ECM burst.
Area of effect drone eWar... imagine the possibilities :)

Well, Seekers are out there now, responding (softly) to attacks.

Made a report on it to warn the people about it: 'Circadian Seekers retaliate!'

While I doubt a warning is needed, due to their small damage, especially to capsules, it's always good to make people aware of this stuff, hoping they spot/see/notice odd things & share it. Edit: in groups their damage isn't so negligible for smaller ships (see post below)

I wonder if this change to the Circadian Seekers is a recurring thing? CCP slowly making them stronger? Or maybe experimenting with a more player-like behaviour for NPC's, one step at the time? First moving around, now responding to attacks & including the ability to pod (albeit getting podded by them will be hard, unless you wait for it deliberately or got DC'd after an attack.

One curious note: If you warp away in your pod after your ship is destroyed, do the Seekers hunt you, or are they letting you go. Also, when you warp back to them, do they resume the attack on you? If the latter is the case, it could provide for some fun encounters if you messed with Seekers earlier in the system.

I just shot at 3 in lowsec and they were doing decent damage to my Exequror Navy Issue. Roughly 300 damage per 3 seconds per sleeper and about 150 damage per missile. I had to warp off to the star and they followed me there and started firing again. I look forward to funny pod killmails.

When you think they can't get scarier as NPC, they start following people through warp! Wonder if they would follow people if they warped to a safe spot instead of a location?
If the Seekers can do that, they got some impressive scanning tech on board...

Edit: something that just popped in my mind, if you warp out of a fight & dock up in a station, do they return to their business or camp the station?
And if you undock, do they keep ignoring you or do they warp back to the station? Aka: does docking reset their behaviour to you, or do they hold grudges!

Can they check local to see if you're still around?

Came back to fight them with an Ishtar and 7 of them were in a belt fighting with a corp member, haven't had a chance to test if they follow to safespots just trying to salvage them all now. Edit: They were moving so fast my Geckos were having a hard time sticking with them. Double edit: Nothing but scraps, waiting on more sleepers.

Yes, they need ~60 seconds to arrive at your safespot and land 20km away from you - even if you warped using a covops cloak they find you (but leave soon after if you don't turn off your cloak).
I haven't seen them camping a station BUT: As soon as you re-enter the system, undock or decloak they come back to you (again, ~ within 60 seconds).
EDIT: At least if you are the only person in system who is attacking them - if they encounter another threat they ignore you

For the damage:
Their second weapon system (doing the heavy damage) has very bad tracking and misses Pods and Frigates most of the time... unless you turn on your MWD of course. Shieldtanked Battlecruiser with MWD running isn't the best choice to fight them.
So no, don't bring your Drake!

How much PVP have you done against botters? Seen Tier 3 BCs volley with perfect timing or logi repairing perfectly?
They would only need to pre-configure accordingly.

So really the only way to die to these sleepers is to be ....... (drum roll please).....

AFK

Meaning that players who are careless have something to worry about.

What I am wondering is, if you are cloaked at a safe spot, do they find you?

If so, that's the end of AFK cloaking but you'd have to be the sort who goes AFK all day. I don't think anybody who takes a break to go drop the kids off at the pool or something would have much to worry about. I'm thinking of the log in after downtime and leave cloaking alt in a system until downtime.

I'm hoping this will be the case not over the AFK cloaker topic but simply from the ocean of tears that my ship is going to sail on.

I attacked one in null. I proceeded to the next belt and opened fire on two BS rats. Then, 6-10 seekers entered the belt and began to fire upon me.

I moved on to the next belt after finishing the BS's, a repeat of the last two belts.

This went on for about 15 minutes after I last fired on one. I believe that they were hunting me from belt to belt in retaliation for my initial attack.

I have seen them camping a station after an alliance ship killed a few at the station. They hung around for quite some time.

Anything or anyone that makes a concerted effort could out do CODE. Remember the Goons ice embargos?
