Industry needs help

I've only been playing for a few years and my biggest complaint about the game is "crafting" so to speak. I made 3 accounts, one missile mission runner, one gunner for pvp and one industry/miner. My industry/miner account is the most worthless one out of the bunch. I don't understand why I put all the time and effort into training making items and researching blueprints when I have to wait over a month in line for one simple upgrade to my blueprint. My only options that I'm aware of are to get a 10 rating with a faction to make a pos in hs or find an unoccupied wh and set up a pos to do this without having to wait forever to get anything done. This is the biggest turn off of the game and has made me abandon it all together.

Solution: Make a mobile research unit that doesn't require a POS. Make any blueprints I use and any items I craft account bound so it doesn't ruin the economy. Hell, even make the mobile research unit expire after each use so I have to buy another. That will open up a new market for the game. I don't care if it cost me more to make the stuff myself, it's the fact that I made it that matters to me. I'm not looking to make profit, I'm looking to be able to use my skill without having to wait decades in line to do anything. There has to be a way to make it easier to use the industry skills without having to have a POS or wait in line.

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can use my industry skills that I'm not aware of please let me know. Like I said, I'm still pretty new to the game and maybe there's something I don't know but as of now I'm really disappointed that it's so inconvenient to "craft" items and research blueprints in this game.

I thought that faction standings were no longer required to stand up a POS since 2 releases ago? You just need an empty moon

I was not aware of this as when I first wanted my own research facility I needed a POS outside of HS or a 10 rating. I will have to grab a tower and see if it lets me set one up on an empty moon.

and even then back int he day you only needed an 8.0 corp standing...

As for the whole "bound to account" eve has nothing like NoDrop or Bound on Pickup or whatever games are calling that these days... And i am fairly sure we shouldnt even want to have those...

As of the Crius patch Faction standings are no longer required to anchor a POS. You should also be aware that you no longer need to queue for research facilities as there are now unlimited slots available in stations for research and manufacturing dependent on the station being able to support that activity.

Crius patch notes.

I took a long break from the game and have been reading patch notes but missed all of this. I did however look around at moons to find a spot for my own POS and everyone moon I've seen has one already. The stupid thing is most of them have no forcefield and seem abandoned. I grabbed a rookie ship and shot at one that had no shield and sure enough, here comes concord. That really needs to be addressed, If a POS in HS has no shield, we should be able to blow it up without getting the police involved. Eventually there will be no moons available to put your pos because of the abandoned ones not able to be destroyed. They need to fix that.

3) I think you have an idea worth putting in this thread:
[Beyond Rubicon] What Mobile Structures would you like to see?

4) Less whine more read.

Hope this helps though Lol

Please take your time reading the wiki and other available guides, and ask questions in the Help chat in game, or in the New Player forum section here.

You can declare war on the owner corporation, and after the 24 hr cooldown has passed, you can shoot the tower without CONCORD intervention.

There are plenty of free moons scattered all around highsec. Perhaps not within a few jumps of a trade hub, but you won't have to look long to find one.

And if you really want one that has a dead POS there already, just make a wardec on one that looks inactive or hire some mercs and blow the thing up.

This really isn't a feature or idea....
