THIS did come as a surprise because with all militias so far the FIRST time got their medal and guess whos time it is.

since ccp has stated on multiple occasions that fw is not there intended end game, the 2nd time you thought you where going to get your medal shouldn't have been a surprise to you.

if you want my advice join minmatar militia so you can get your 2nd medal.

First of all, post with your main or nobody will take you serious.

Second, what do you mean, we have lost a system and quickly regained it? The Amarr militia was since the introduction of FW, fighting for all systems and have ultimately conquered them all after many years...

Also, the first time Gallente got their medal, they held all systems for a couple of hours, yet, many of Calmil guys, Amarr, showed support in your medal whining thread, and then you did get a medal, so perhaps log in with your main and post some support here, like some of the other gallente and minmatar vets did.

As for second medals. People don't necessarily need a second medal but the "ISSUED x times" should be updated, so if you won twice, you get a issued twice of the same medal, that would be fair, if not getting a second medal.

Please note. Calmil held all systems after the first domination for several months. Amarr for one week, Gallente the first time for a couple of hours, so since CCP is always referring to the first total warzone controls by issuing medals, it would be fair to do so now with Amarr.

I do support your request for the medal. I also support the request of Gallente pilots who pushed the second time, but were not there for the first.

I do not support the sniveling or the mature threats of liquidating and unsubbing. I acknowledge the effort of the Amarr push, which was a constant weeks long mission for Gallente; that we lost a system on the following DT shows that we did it against an enemy that didn't roll over and die. And who knows, maybe you did get a medal. Perhaps it is cloaked, like the Stealth Bombers that helped you win it.

Anyway. Posting here to say, as a nobody in GALMIL;

CCP, GIVE THE AMARR A ******* MEDAL ALREADY.
And also give a second medal to GALMIL.
If you are finding it a pain in the ass, and "not intended" gameplay to have sweeps of the warzone occur, then find a way change the damn FW mechanics so it gets progressively harder to take and hold systems as a militia approaches total control.

You could call it civilian resistance or some such. Increase the amount of vp needed to take a system as the number of systems in the opposing militia diminishes. You already code in the dust modifiers so do something similar for percentage of warzone control. This negative feedback mechanic will combat your positive feedback loop with tier rewards. Or simply reduce the tier rewards. But ffs do something to make it harder to sweep the warzones.

Wow, reading over this thread, some of you guys need to relax a little.

All it took was one guy to shoot me an email today and he had the answer regarding what was happening with this medal, rather than coming to the forums and exploding with drama.

Decorations were issued for the FIRST total capture of the warzone for the FEDEF and SPROT. We fully intend to release one for the IC24 as well, now that they've captured and held the whole warzone.

We actually have descriptions written for all four of the decorations, plus names, including an additional one for the TLIB, for if or when they manage to do the same. I know this because myself and CCP Eterne collaborated on them when we first came to CCP, and I pulled up the descriptions and re-edited the IC24 one a few days before they took all the systems in anticipation that it would happen.

It does however take time to get decorations from NPC corps issued. It's not as easy as us creating decorations the same way you guys do to give out to members. There's a hell of a lot of data mining to do, looking at tens of thousands of characters to see who's eligible, and then we have to get everything prepped to distribute them, and make sure that doing so isn't going to induce horrible load on the cluster when we do so.

Prep work coupled with the fact that there's this thing during December that happens called Christmas, when CCPers take a well earned vacation to spend some time with their familes mean that it's going to take a little longer to get this ready and deployed.

Bear in mind also that the people who take care of this also have their full development workload and team commitments to fulfil too working on the next release for EVE.

Also, we've never actually said that we'd release deocrations for all four factions if they take the full warzone. We've just done it on an ad hoc basis in the past. For entirely IC reasons, one of the factions could have chosen not to bother, and just to offer IC congratulations instead, however the four decorations are there and written up because we know that it means a lot to you guys.

I completely understand/agree, but, i wouldnt push the issue any further. We have the response we wanted (: now we just gotta wait a bit longer and we will have the medal ! \o/ huzzah
