Why Afk is fine in highsec

By all means, feel free to afk anytime..it adds content and target practice for other Eve players. Just don't get angry about it. Every choice comes with consequenses, If you choose to afk in space, you accept that your ship may not be there when you get back. Twisted

EVE is a multiplayer game in which thousands of players simultaneously act in the sandbox environment. Your subscription fee no more entitles you to be safe than it does entitle other players to cause you to be unsafe. Your sense of entitlement is astounding and you should be ashamed of it.

Just because I don't want to be tackled by 40 police pursuit comets while sitting suspect flagged in a Gnosis on the Tama gate in Nourvukaiken it doesn't mean those comet fleet should be denied their sandbox experience and not be able to shoot at me while I desperately try and explain why this is happening on teamspeak.

It's everyone's sandbox, not your sandbox.

Well to you CODE Guys. You are right about afk miners and haulers should be punished for AFK, and they have no right to whine, cause that is how the game Works. But the worst part about you guys is this..... When i have my bulkhead and a friend cloaked in my belt, so you fail the gank. You have no right to whine either.... So many of you whine all over local when you get blown up by my friend or the Concord..

I was mining in hi this morning and someone in a Catalyst starting shooting at me. I typed 'Shoo!' in local and they left the system. Maybe they thought I was AFK? Dunno. Maybe shoo is a CODE word of great power.

I can't speak for all my comrades, but if someone manages to protect himself from a gank and I fail I usually congratulate him with a "gf" in local as it is customary after a PvP engagement. I find it's often not the carebear or the ganker who sheds the really big tears, but the fail white-knight or local hero at the side lines who thinks he is a great warrior because he can shoot red crosses in missions and will stop your operation just by showing up in a fail fitted battleship.

Im not hating, you got me to play a tanky retriever which i pretty okay. I just cant stand to see you yell at miners that they cry to much in Local, when some of your people do the same

Really, what did he say? I can't imagine it was more than an outburst of frustration. No more so than when you lose a ship in a mission or your rocks arent as valuable as you had hoped or you miss out on whatever you enjoy.

Well we can agree that the "tanky" version of a retriever is fitted with defensive modules.
Since i've got this fit, no one of you CODE guys have suceeded. You can come visit me in Balle, and take the challenge. :)

Ofcause i cant tank a tech 2 frig or something way out of my League, but typical ship you gankers use, is no problem :)

But as i said i dont mind you gankers look by, you make my mining more fun.

If you go way back and read the Manifesto and Manifesto II of James 315 you will notice that the real purpose for our crusade is not the AFK miner, but the whiny carebear who tries to change this unique competitive sandbox game into a shadow of itself where he can AFK mine in perfect isolation without interference from other players. Well we also like to just blow up stuff, but who says a crusade shouldn't be fun.

It is my believe and that the carebears destruction of EVE can only be stopped if their real agenda is exposed, and that is a great part of what the minerbumping blog is about. It is also about fun and treating eve like a game (which it actually is). It is written in a very obvious self ironic tone, which some people seam to still not understand, this are usually the "rebel leaders", and it's probably no accident that they aren't usually the brightest lights in New Eden.



Well since you asked so nicely, the real agenda of all carebears is a truly insidious, evil and dire one. The agenda that we follow is one which no other self respecting game player would ever lower themselves to do, let alone contemplate.

To put it simply, it is to play the game as we see fit, you know, similar to the way you play this game as you see fit. P Yes carebearing must be destroying the game as we know it, we can see clearly how it has destroyed null.
