Either she is one or she was from one of the Slums gangs. Or she watched way too much Slumlord Rap that's all the rage on Fed entertainment channels recently.

Wow, what an ass yo. That sucks.

Here I was thinkin' you was actually like a nice guy, Mista E.

Makin' fun of the way people talk eh. That's adolescent stuff, that's slum-level stuff. You pair of scrubs.

You are speaking uniquely. We are bound to speculate.

Since when was I ever nice?

I know right? How weird, someone who doesn't mind being themselves in a place like this.

First time ever yo I get a feel for the crap my twin sista has to put up with. Good reason why my biggest sista wouldn't let us use our datapads to read IGS for almost a year, she warned me most people here were complete asses with a tiny amount of nice, actually interesting peoples sprinkled within. Which group do you fit into, yo?

I'll go away then and leave y'all to your terrified speculatin' over some sleepers on gates with your super refined talkings.

I probably fit into the 'monstrous mass murderer' category.

And also 'banned from all Dodixie coffee shops' category.

I think I've heard enough from you.

Unless you want to lose your datapad as well as your Astero then I'd suggest you be quiet and go back to studying.

She hasn't actually. She's still in training and has destroyed very few vessels.

But any scrub can kill a billion baseliners, that's called being a capsuleer not a monstrous mass murderer. One day though, if she keeps her head screwed on, hopefully we'll make a true murderer of young Shelby there.

Oh it's you again. Well someone who visits such a silly place like Thera, to die in a salvage fit Venture, doesn't really even have the grounds to look at a sister of mine, let alone make fun of the way she talks, "yo". Give her a break, she was just trying to be sociable.

As for the topic at hand, my personal thoughts?

These seeker drones aren't a new thing, we all know they've been around for a little while now and most have speculated at one point or another that they would eventually turn hostile. When this eventually occurs in a serious way it won't interest me in the least, like most of Empire. Hopefully a lot of people there will die as a result, likely making our universe a nicer place. Sleepers are already a thing where we're from, and honestly the excitement generated by these seekers in known-space will leave most wormholers merely amused.

I actually live in Thera and am a regular contributor to EVE-Scout.com (shameless plug). My salvage ventures have made me quite a nice profit in the amount of time it takes to salvage many of the wrecks I find around Thera; what problem do you have with a salvage venture? I'm sorry that you don't think I can "look" at your sister, perhaps she should stay out of public places if you worry about who might look or speak to her. And I'm not making fun of the way she talks I'm asking a serious question. Why does she talk like an adolescent? Is she? All this talk of not going through school and her demeanor makes me wonder if someone has forced a child into becoming a capsuleer.

I'm sorry if your sensibilities were offended. I'd say grow a pair but that'd be inappropriate.

Eww. You're digging that hole of zero credibility even deeper, sir.

I'd have just taken the Venture-loss jab and quit while I was ahead.

In anycase, to answer your question sir, my youngest sisters are both seventeen and are of limited education beyond their mother. As you've seen, one is quite prone to popular culture and a broad spectrum of music as you'd expect of many teenagers. Shelby is very excitable and in fact needs medication and some unique implants to help her control her excitability, lack of focus and desire for attention. Both of which I'm told by our family's physician are the results of a mild mental illness. Her twin similarly has an impediment, although it's with her speech.

Elmund Egivand wrote:

Not quite, what I mean is that in the process of being a capsuleer it's not unusual for almost all of us to find ourselves in the position where thousands, millions or as you say - billions of people are killed. But this doesn't set you apart from your peers as a monstrous mass murderer, as you attempted to do, it actually makes you the same as the vast majority of them.

And in my advice to Shelby that vast majority of average capsuleers here are indeed, in her eloquent wording, "asses". Obvious when people can't allow them to indulge in public conversation with enough respect to listen to their words rather than speculate about, or make fun of, the way they're saying them.

All of us murder at least thousands, but that doesn't make us not mass murderers. Expecting mass murderers to be nice, and I mean genuinely nice, is way too naive.

And no, I am not going to start moralizing about that.

Honestly, your sister doesn't seem capsuleer material. That road to technical immortality and fortune is fraught with douchebaggery, smug and general mean-spiritedness, not to mention getting lots of broken bones by first month alone assuming she wasn't conditioned.

I believe Shelby was enjoying a conversation with you that was on a 'nice' level, until you decided to indulge in a little douchebaggery of your own, and that likely disappointed her. Pretty straight forward really. As for the mass murderers term it's obvious that what I'm trying to tell you is going right over your head.

Honestly Elmund, I don't think you know my sister from a can of Quafe.

But if you judge capsuleers by their resilience or otherwise in two pages of a Galnet discussion then I question your very definition of what makes someone a suitable capsuleer. Which I was kinda already doing ... if it's not quite sinking in yet.

If however I'm wrong and you're implying she lacks piloting skill then you'd certainly be somewhat correct as she's still in her early days and her niche yet to be found. Not withstanding that I'm sure she'd still be willing to indulge you in a T3 duel anytime if you'd like to also rate her space abilities. She certainly has my blessing and her choice of ship from my hangers. Just let me know.

Beyond that I'm beginning to feel bad about this discussion derailing Ms Priano's thread somewhat, and I apologize for that ma'am, or if my sister's posting incited it.

******* Thera. Just more nullsec to be honest.

By the way, wrecks are for looting and popping. Salvaging is for poors.

Here's the thing. To be considered for the Capsuleer Programme, the subject in question has to satisfy a number of criteria, other than having the genetic markers that indicate affinity with the capsuleer implants:

20/20 vision
Perfect hearing
Blood pressure within a very limited range (I was never told what the range was, the shady bastard)
Peak physical condition (for example, able to run 60km without pause, plus others. Last I remember, that test lasted a whole week)
Minimal or zero genetic defects
IQ at the 90% percentile of the population
A degree in a suitable technical skill
Ability to multitask (and pay full attention to all the tasks simultaneously)
Alot of money, or a sponsor with alot of money
Etc.

Then we have to go through all those conditioning regime that has a very good chance of getting oneself killed. Plus the usual piloting training.

That's what made your sister unusual. She didn't give the impression she fulfilled these criteria.

And how did I give an impression of being nice in the first place? I was very sure I'm a grumpy sod who ate too many dry biscuits.

I'm sure you've never salvaged in your life. Nanoribbons are worthless. I'm not really sure why me being an explorer and space janitor is relevant to the other topics in this thread but if people wish to continue focusing on that then I suppose I can't be too upset--things could be worse.

And if you have a problem with Thera that's perfectly fine with me. I'm not here to sell real estate and honestly there are some people I'd prefer not to share the system with. You can stay in your hole.
