350mm Railgun a bit confusing

It doesn't look right. First of all on the turret barrels (I am expecting those to be the barrels) there is no opening for the slug to come from. Also, there is a front face wall where two beveled bumps extend from seemingly matter.

So... fix?

You felt the need to post this in general Forums because posting a bugfix is not the same ?

Point the long end not attached to the mount at the bad guy.

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

Railguns don't have barrels, those "barrels" you see are rails made out of metal that create a strong magnetic field, and they charge the projectile you fire with electricity, and that causes the projectile to accelerate down the open end of the rails and fly to/past your target.

Another rail gun principle is to have rollers the length of the rods that accellerate at extreme high velocity using megentics and charged metal, the projectile is then launched in to the tube to be propelled at something.

The railguns used in the EVE universe are based on the principle that if furballs are accelerated to a high enough velocity, they can inflict great damage upon the target.

Unfortunately, as we've seen from the lack of railgun use in fleet engagements, this is not the case and furballs are not an adequate substitute for ammunition.

Ah yes the minmatar had much more success venting me out the 'special' airlock in the gun. Apperanlty I dont have a 'magnetic' personality to be shoved out of the railguns special airlock.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.

Other guns also have a solid barrel, it's just a design sacrifice to keep the model poly down, because after all when they're mounted to your ship it's hard to notice even if you're zoomed all the way in. They should improve the texture though to give an illusion of the barrel.

See the 2 horizontal bars sticking out of the front? That's where the projectile is loaded/fired. How it gets there, who knows, probably the same mysterious voodoo that concord uses.

Buy the 350mm a nice dinner and take home to some smooth jazz, you will see the hole pretty soon after that.

Okay am I missing something? I honestly do not see an opening on the end of the barrel.

Well the "barrels" you're looking for are on both sides of the gun it self

There is no barrel.

The projectile is held inbetween the two metal bars that you keep confusing for barrels, charged, and released.

That's how railguns work.

Just... watch some video on railguns or something. It's clear you aren't getting this.

rails use fields, not pressure, barrels are not needed.

anyhow, for all it matters your crew might as well be dropping cans of quafe in there

Right, but the slug has to come from SOMEWHERE.
