And an advisory release from the DED today.

Considering that pilots have noted that the drones have weapons but haven't seemed to use them yet, well, I suspect we'll see them using said weapons before long.

I shot one down. Dang...

Guess it makes me their enemy now.

Here's to hoping they don't have long memories.

Finally, you k-spacers can start dealing with the same mindless death machines we have to deal with in Anoikis on a daily basis. God, they still give me the creeps.

As usual with the DED, it's more about what's not being said.

"Initial investigation?" "Conclusions?" Based on what? "Adapting?" How? Based on what evidence? What about the structures?

What plans, if any, are being prepared in case things get bad?

Have they or anyone during this "investigation" been able to open some form of communication?

Facts...again and again, what are the facts?

Well, I'm buying myself a Zephyr. Next time I come across the seekers, I'll be flying it.

They're just funky drones yo.

Don't fly to the anoms if they creep you out.

If they hinder me or attack me I destroy them, it seems pretty simple to me, if they fight back or not is irrelevant. I have generally been operating under the concept that scanning my vessel or others, is a prelude to attack and I have destroyed quite a few now.

Its just something about the way they look...

So the Seekers are operating New Eden, conducting highly suspicious activity, but consider us a threat? Extremism has never been my style, but I do not believe any form of moderation in this matter to be advisable. Simulations show over and over again that this will only escalate. Mind yourselves, exercise caution, but if this gets any hotter I wholly advocate the eradication of these... things from K-space. This new threat must not be taken lightly.

I worry that these things may start attacking civilian ships, stations and colonies in space. And if they moved onto ground targets? Cities?

Along with the fact that these things can seemingly show up in any system.

I don't like the way this looks at all.

*claps* and this is the result of "ooh whats this non-hostile thing doing something. i better shoot it" mentality. If these things start firing on civilian ships or stations you only need to look in the mirror to see who is to blame.

Consider, Peione, that we've been actively harvesting Sleeper technology for nearly six years now.

So, does that mean they will set up a POS and actively scan for capsuleer sites to raid?

In one of the systems here in Black Rise, we have one of those structures about 250,000k off of one of our stations in Lagrange-1 orbit around an ihnhabitied planet.

If things go south, I'm fairly comfotable about my survival. The colonies here are another story.

Like someone mentioned earlier it's what it isn't being said. This is a direct response of us going to their space harvesting their technology. So the motives for their incursion into our space can only mean a few things.

  • Retaliations,
  • would be fare to assume that they will be going after our assets in space, refineries, factories, processing plants... that use, process or distribute the resources we have stolen.
  • Communication,
  • they have adopted a defensive role since we encounter them, no act of aggression, always defensive. It could be possible they are trying to assess our motives to start communications.
  • Invasion,
  • highly unlikely, since their behaviour in w-space suggest they are hiding or prefer isolation. Nonetheless if an invasion is their motive we can expect them to target our military assets and or star gates to limit our force projection.

Their behaviour in the past have being passive, we have forced them to react or be consumed. My best guess is that they will make a show of force in the form of a concentrated initial strike, like seizing the mayor trade hubs or some kind of attack that would affect the whole cluster. Then establish negotiations to limit the use of wormholes. But again this depend on the level of organization their government or homeworld "if any" can muster.

Is it a possiblity that the Jove have played the Empire capsuliers against the Sleepers? The Jove and Sleepers are not exactly on amiable terms.

Just who blew up that star, causing the WHs to open?

Who knows? There wasn't any retrievable traces on what caused the Seyllin incident.
