Arbane is very much within the lines of the qualification criteria.
Unless of-course some rule will be made up on the fly to exclude him somehow?
Calling into doubt the transparancy and unbiasd approach the vote counters of this prestegious award in its first year is not a good precedent to set.

I too would like to cast my vote for Arbane. He has been a fine example of a Matari pilot fighting the good fight and supplying the market with Fine Matari Republic Fleet technology for all of new eden to enjoy at no small risk to his ship and well being.

Opinion my ass. This is a fact, it has been observed.

That said, I really don't care who people vote for, they can vote for him if they wish. Given who I voted for in the PIE awards I think it's only fair.

Sasawong get's my first vote for his unwavering 23.5 / 7 fight to free all those under Amarrian rule.

Annah Kitheran the current top killer this month leads from the front and always seems to get the final blow, Her organization and leadership inspire those in her fleets to victory time after time.

Really, I'm noticing a decided lack of serious nominations. Obviously we can ignore smurfsbrigade entirely here, but what's with all the nominations for this Ava Starfire person? Never heard of her and her combat record is rather uninspiring.

In the interest of putting concerted support behind a legitimate candidate, I second the nomination of Annah Kitheran.

I would like to second the nomination for Annah Kitheran, for her seemingly endless hours of fleet command. We all know its hard work and she does it with little complaint.

I would also like to add BLACKBEARD131 for his actions commanding fleets. His leadership skills, knowledge of the war zone, and knowledge of the enemy are indispensable.

It looks like the original announcement has been edited to exclude him.

If you ask me, it's terribly bad form for the organiser of a contest to break his own rules like that.

If a problem appears where the letter of regulations do not match the spirit of the regulations, it is quite normal to adjust the letter and not the spirit.

Though I understand that the Amarrian faith has a history of doing the opposite.

I second Anya Sulii,

A dedicated warrior, 2nd only to Sasawong (Sasa has received enough bonus's from EM for his amazing efforts). Anya has breathed a fresh breath of life into our soon to be Methuselah aged corp. willing to lead, dedicate time to leading and helping new pilots. As well as being at the tip of the spear for the Minmatar Spear head of Late night and Day light fleets.

The rules are clear. He qualifies the criteria you set out for the contest. Are you saying you are disqualifying him? Because according to my count he is in a comfortable lead as far as votes.

Just so you know, Ava Starfire recently defected from Electus Matari , too the militia to help us in the front line. Maybe looking at her statistics in other channels will high light this talented pilot. I also believe she is quite active in the actions of system control, along with Sasawong and co. Ultimately though you will never know them unless your have fought shoulder to shoulder with them, I assure Gald she is no comic relief.

Quite simple. The award was open for all Minmatar out there, with people being able to nominate who they deem worthy, as per vox populi. After a certain individual has gotten a certain number of nominations, the organizer suddenly decided they'd be excluded from the ballot for no real reason given. From what I've seen I can only suppose the the problem why mr. Arbane is seen as less-then-equal than his peers is because he is advocating a peaceful solution to the conflict at hand.
I'm sure it would be quite a thorn in a number of people's sides if the person who wins this isn't a bloodthirsty murderer to fully represent the true facade of the Tribal Liberation Force.
Ergo, it was and stays a farce. But go on, I'm sure you can make it even more entertaining by the time the nominations close.
