So how does this new tax effect EVE?

I recently heard someone complain about some mobile game, the prices went up and he was blaming the company. After that someone pointed out it's actually a new tax on virtual purchases. I already get taxed for fake things I buy, does it really need an extra tax on top of the existing tax?

Better question is, does it effect EVE? Will my normal monthly payments be raised by this tax? Or will it only effect plex?

Without the exact wording of the law, it is rather difficult to make an evaluation about its effects.

VAT is not a new tax and mostly affects European countries. It is the reason you see whine threads about the price discrepancy between the US plex and Euro plex prices.

VAT is included in the price CCP charge already for countries that have it.
