Request: Ship Insurance Rates CREST endpoint

Something that would be very nice to have would be the ability to pull data about how much it costs to insure a ship, and how much a given level of insurance pays out for a ship. Right now, attempting to compensate for insurance when planning ship replacement programs is a manual process with an indeterminate expiration date, due to the fact that insurance rates are adjusted over an unknown time period, the formula for determining insurance rates and payouts is unknown, and the fact that the values are cached internally.

Or, in other words, it's a perfect thing to expose via CREST.

I was thinking of something like the following:
{
    "lastUpdated": "1970-01-01 00:00:01",
    "insuranceRates": [
        {
            "typeID": 12345,
            "typeName": "Avatar",
            "rates": {
                "basic": {
                    "cost": 12,
                    "payout": 23,
                },
                "standard": {
                    "cost": 12,
                    "payout": 23,
                },
                "bronze": {
                    "cost": 12,
                    "payout": 23,
                },
                "silver": {
                    "cost": 12,
                    "payout": 23,
                },
                "gold": {
                    "cost": 12,
                    "payout": 23,
                },
                "platinum": {
                    "cost": 12,
                    "payout": 23,
                }
            }
        },
        ...
    ]
}

I cannot really see anything wrong with exposing that... will look into it later this week.

i'm currently determining insurance payout as jita max buy and then throwing a little wizardry in to the mix ....i have to say i agree for the second time in my Eve career with a goonie

my spreadsheet would love you long time if this gets implemented and would make my insurance payouts alot easier to do with precise calculations.

i will point my spreadsheet guru to this thread in the hopes you get this going.

As I slipped my finger slowly inside her hole, I could immediately feel it getting wetter and wetter.

I took my finger back out and within seconds she was going down on me.

"I really need a new boat," I thought to myself.

Gonna bump this thread again; get it back into folks' minds. Obviously, folks are busy, especially with the holidays coming up, but I figured there was no harm in reiterating an idea for later on down the line.

This is an excellent idea. I am all for anything that eases the workload of the poor guys who volunteer to throw money at me for being bad at Eve.

Great initiative!

I would like to see this happen as well, especially concerning the recent "unintended" fluctuations on Tech 2 insurance.

This might not be the most popular endpoint but it would free many corporations and alliances from manually collecting this data and allow them to fully automate their ship replacement programs.

Any progress on this? I'd really like to have some way to integrate this into our/our allies' reimbursement/SRP apps.

I really want to and will hopefully get to it after FanFest. It's been an interesting year so far. :)
