If you look very closely, you can tell Kate is getting a wedgie from that gray panty.

That's actually not retouched, you can see the cheeks from the front on femme avatars

Nice. You also removed the internal girders from Kate's "girls" with the lighting corrections.

There was one painting of Major Motoko that I liked, and used as a reference for the weight... here

The influence for sectioning the skin was this

I like the hair style in these paintings. I also love the coloring style, but I'm avoiding the cartoony look for this.

Kate with dangling cables, and some more scenery.

Pretty sure I'll expose her legs and turn them into Phancas. Hinting at it feels like cheating, and I want to push myself.

But, since the Pinup Calendar project is pretty much dead (isn't it?), wouldn't it be more appropriate to post your K8 variations in the Commissar Kate Appreciation thread?
