I'm not sure the API does corporate (POS) jobs.

EVEmon tracks personal jobs just fine.

Api does NOT currently cover jobs in the POS - as Tau mentioned those are listed as Corp Jobs. To see those you need a Corp API. Unfortunately, Corp APIs are not currently customizable like our personal APIs are. So hence, no one likes to give them out it seems.

There are plenty of requests for this type of simple adjustment in some of the recent Dev info request threads. I suggest contributing and asking the Dev to pick a method to allow this type of job tracking.

since i manufacture in my own corp, that's not a problem

i just want to know which slots are unused without having to log in all 6 characters and taking notes

If you provide a corporation key, EVEMon also tracks corporation jobs. Not sure if you need one for each character or just one from the character with the corresponding corp roles. I have one for each character, but they are all directors...

Once upon a time EVEmon did, then the feature was removed (when the API was changed) because the EVEmon developers stated it wasn't a corporate tool. I'm surprised to hear that the feature is back again.

I'll have to give it a look.

Well, it seems to work on a character basis at least.

[EDIT]: Just to confirm this, I installed EVEMon at work. Adding a character API key does not show that character's jobs (all of them run at the corp's POS). After adding a corporation key for that character, EVEMon lists all running jobs. So yes, it works.

Not the quote I was looking for, but close enough:

EVEMon is not ready yet to deal with Corp info. The time frame CCP gave to implement the new CAK system and EVEMon's underlying code didn't allowed us to do it in time. After all EVEMon was designed as a character monitor tool and not a corp management one. This of course doesn't mean that EVEMon will never get one.

Guess they finally got around to it.

The problem was that they spit the api keys into corp and account when the old Api looked at your personal key and gave you corp access if you had rights. It was a pain to implement but last I looked evemon did allow corp keys shortly after. Still doesn't do job tracking for all accounts on one page though.

There is a handy app that I used solely for planning and monitoring of jobs. It displays the usage of jobs in a very useful manner so you can easily see what kind of jobs you have and when they will be done in a daily/weekly/monthly view.

The app is named Eve-Meep if I remember correctly. I highly recommend checking it out. Failing that, there are always spreadsheets :D.

The only problem with job tracking, if you use a spreadsheet, is that there are two api calls for it, IndustryJobs and IndustryJobsHistory. Both have different cache times (1h resp. 6h for history data). If you use a spreadsheet, you run into the problem that IndustryJobs does not show jobs ready to deliver.
I ran into this problem when writing my own application. If you finish jobs within that 6h timeframe, you can end up with more jobs flagged as running than there actually are. Only workaround I found was adding a custom flag to finished jobs every time I update the data, and then allowing the IndustryJobsHistory to overwrite it every 6 hours...

I think you are correct, I have not actually tried to set up a spreadsheet for this purpose. In any eventuality this can be easily resolved if you know the end time of the job.

I simply flag jobs, which have been completed and may or may not have been delivered, as pending. This way they are no longer marked as running until my app fetches the job history and sets the correct status. It's not an elegant way, but it works.
Again, this is only a real problem if you have a lot of jobs with a runtime below 6 hours on the same character (reverse engineering for example).

Note that only the CEO and directors can create an API corp key.

At least I've been unable to create them.
