Definitely should be. Being PVP'd while offline, when there wasn't any timer going, and you weren't under attack on logout, definitely should not happen. Logging out while under attack should avoid the stress of watching your ship die, but thats about it.

My apologies for posting on so old a thread.

So, it seems to me that "bumping" is injecting yourself into and affecting the outcome of a combat situation, while remaining completely neutral yourself. As such, it appears to be a clear exploit. I mean really, what else do you call "injecting yourself into and affecting the outcome of a combat situation, while remaining completely neutral yourself"?

Ok. I understand that the lowsec and nullsec people want to bring their "No CONDORD" play style to highsec. Well, that isn't going to happen, is it? CCP seems pretty solid on that point, so quit acting like little girls.

You can't just slap out "suspect" flags to people bumping, as it happens a million times a day. You also can't petition for exploit, because again, it happens by accident a million times a day. CS has better things to do, and making judgement calls on a scenario by scenario basis is expensive CS wise. So that's a no go.

So why not just fix the "Approach" command to actually stop when it gets to the ship? For lowsec and nullsec (Any area not under the purview of CONCORD) add a new command, "Ram" that allows bumping just as "Approach" does now. Or... leave "Ram" in there in highsec but give a suspect flag for using it.

The "Approach" command is like parking a car by crashing into the wall behind the parking space. Fix it.

This will do nothing. Bumping is usually done, and certainly can be done, with manual ship piloting.
