T3 Frigates - Corvette Class Ship?

Seeing as T3 appears to be specialization of an extreme manner am I alone in the thought that T3 frigates might actually become EVE's first corvette class ship? In the navy, a corvette is a smaller vessel, just above that of a frigate, that is designed to be a fast-attack ship with still enough oomph for firepower. It is, of course, still less than the destroyer.

General T3 discussion/predictions?

T3 frigates will have covert cloaks, be nullified, immune to EWAR, hit 10 000m/s and require a day of training. Ugh

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

T3=SP intensive, isk expensive ship that can be tuned to be any ship in the game. The T3 destroyers naturally have a more limited version of the versatility that is balanced by being applied in flight.
The corvette role is covered by faction frigates, which T3 frigates would make worthless.
Now T3 dreadnoughts could be a game changer without being a game wrecker.

No actually a Corvette is just below a Frigate in size. Their traditional role since their WW2 revival has and usually still does center on ASW work though like most modern warships they wear many hats like AA and Ship to Ship.

I personally have always seen the Rookie Ships as good candidates for the Corvette name and have suggested that CCP change their name. Rookie Ship sounds terrible.

As for T3 Frigates, still calling them Frigate sounds fine to me.

Since the Rookie ships got buffed and can be fitted with T2 things the Corvette name could stick.
+1

I can't even imagine what kind of role(s) T3 dreadnoughts could possibly take, and I fly a Nag.
