What I want to do is provide the item ID and get back the lowest price that item is selling in the universe, and the system where it is, the way eve-central.com does. I'm just not sure how to interpret the data because, while it is supposedly xml, it looks nothing at all like XML.

I'm not sure we're on the same page. Where what? Where the item is cheapest? That's what I'm trying to determine.

ETA: To make it clearer what I need: I'll pull the data into the spreadsheet and figure out the cheapest from there. The trouble is that the data I get back from quicklook is a mess.

Where are you pulling the data from? Eve Central's quicklook api?

If from there, it's definitely xml being returned. http://api.eve-central.com/api/quicklook?typeid=20419&regionlimit=10000002

If you do a view source on it, you'll see the xml.
