Mining carrier or other drone based mining ship.

I would just love to see a mining carrier, or at least some form of drone based mining ship.

I just love my drones.

The servers don't like drones. Drone use is being contracted, not expanded.

Nothing is stopping you from fitting five drone control units and mining drone rigs on your existing carrier and trying this out. Nothing except common sense, anyway.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Procurer is +29% yield with one drone rig and T2 drones.

I think that is sufficient.

heh... I have images of it mining not roids but moons and planets. Lol

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

In order to protect the server from the OP possibly trying this out with a supercarrier, lets support adding a mining ship to the game which can launch 5 mining "fighters" with a net yield similar to a carrier with 15 mining drones.

Vexor already mines 80% as fast as a Covetor (t2 drones/lasers, t1 strips), with more than half of that coming from the drones. If medium and large mining drones were added, the Vexor might run past and become a new frontline mining ship.

Or if the drone mining yield bonus were removed from the ships that still have it, it could work.

while I like this idea. lets go farther with it. Mining Titan, DD's a belt. all ore is put in ore bay. warp to tower and refine....yup....

I thought you've been chasing new mining ships. VNI could be heavy tanked fitted with ability to gather enough ORE with heavy mining drones. Just another variant of mining b.s.

there are already ships that get bonuses to mining drones you can also stick drones to a carrier with all 15 you mine more than a cov

(only seen this done once and it was when some corp thought it was a good idea to put the escort carriers in the belt)

Vexors aren't supposed to be a mining ship, therefore they should never mine faster than a mining-yield-dedicated barge.
