Considering how badly I or we got burned with WH MMO I'm rather sceptical with this 40K version.

Not even Imperial Guards as a playable faction.
The only interesting thing would have been to play a poor, under-equipped sod who is nothing but cannon fodder for the big meat grinder and gets shot more often by his own commissar than by the enemy.
Kind of like Eve, you know? Cool

Calling it now. It's going to be the best 40k game since the Dawn of War series.

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

Space marine was actually a pretty good game and the ending was very 40K so much that I was a bit stunned once the game had ended.

What the programmers are aiming for is likely something akin to monsterpaly in lotro where monsers can play from lvl 10 with max lvl characters in "monster play PvP" and freeps (free people) had to play them selves to lvl 50 before taking a part.

Which obviously means that at first there was no one playing pvp but monsters and if there was a one freep seen then a horde of spiders/orcs/wargs rushed after the poor sod like a wrath Valar.

Now obviously freeps were immensely more powerful in gear & skill wise then you average monster but then the idea was that monsters would win by sheer numbers.

Haven't played lotro for years so aside from a few months after beta I have no idea where they have taken this monster play but at least in the beginning it was kinda cool and refreshing new idea for arena type PvP.


But most of all it was fun and had surprisingly little lag, unlike what we had in WH which in the end turned out to be the complete opposite pointless, laggy and ultimately not that much of a fun either.

Huh, last time I heard from that game was, I think, on Angry Joe's YT channel and there he said something about it being like Planetside only with WH 40K stuff....

Also, the Sapce Marine game was a bit boring... Story was the susual 40K stuff, but that doesn't make the game good... Straight

I watched the game play video and yes, it seems that it will be planet side with froobies playing as orcs but website was rather scarce on details how things actually work in larger scale.

watch the video of the gameplay scroll to the final moments of the match there is zoom out and you see tactical map where you can choose how to move forces etc...
