There will be people who fixate on these articles as "omg people r being mean on t3h interwebz" and will make ridiculous, baseless claims about bullying, sociopathy, etc.

Hopefully, the more reasoned reader will pick up on the positive in all this - JT has been exposed (yet again) as an absolutely terrible CEO and has no business running a ****-up in a brewery, let alone a corp or alliance. If even a single Eve player avoids this guy as a result then good work has been done.

No, your rights end in optimal+2*falloff

I'm sure I read a blog about 'open letters' being a banning offense. Though it might have been some drug induced pleasure fantasy.

In any case, it needs to happen.

To be honest, I kept reading for about one minute. Minerbumping is getting seriously old for me.

Well, that's entirely possible after 1.250 posts in 3 years.

I grow tired of all these clowns praising each other and thinking they are PVPing. Roll

(To clarify for the knuckle draggers, someone has to shoot back for it to be player versus player. It is as silly as getting excited about shooting a barn with a shotgun from 10 paces just because someone was in it).

Edit 2 : I just got a mail saying that I don't know definitions, "versus" means opposed.

The miner has to oppose the gankers and fight back. That does not happen, they run or they die. It is a foregone conclusion. There is no fight, battle or anything else about it. It is just a bunch of armed thugs walking into a village that only has tools and massacring them.

Being the fat kid sitting there with a magnifying glass and burning ants was never something to applaud.

In Eve there exists meta PvP. The market level PvP. The back room deals of alliance politics which affects wars as much as any capital battle. And the Corp/ alliance level scam like this. It's not traditional PvP, but then again this game is full of non traditional PvP. Speaking as a roleplayer and pirate, ******* with the enemy's head is often more effective than ******* with their killboards.

Edited to fix auto correct.

Only if you threaten people with your attack dog and a stern talking to.

[edit: That's odd, I made this post almost a day ago on my phone... and it only pops up now.

That man is far more authorative than you or I on the matter.

That is not the role of prey. A miner's two primary choices are run or die. Should he escape, he is the victor. You don't need to blow up enemy ships to "win" at EVE.

Quote:

The second sentence contradicts the first.

You demonstrate an alarming level of ignorance when it comes to the fundamental aspects of PvP within EVE. Either that or you're ignoring them to try to force a point. Neither is something that should be seen coming from a CSM candidate.

No, like many people, he does not know what the word "versus" means.

"Bait" and "assist your rescuers" could be a lot more possible.

Wrong. It is a foregone conclusing that it is one or the other.

Wow! You genuinely have no idea who he is, do you?

Could be. Though I think it's safe to say that most miners, particularly in HiSec are not bait, nor do they have a friendly force on standby to kill wannabe gankers.

Wrong. It is a foregone conclusing that it is one or the other.

A foregone conclusion, by definition excludes other possibilities. "He might die or he might not" is a list of possible outcomes, not a foregone conclusion. I.e. A forgone conclusion never contains the word "or".
