That, and cap dumping. Due to Thera's size I suppose it's a necessity.

Can't say much OT. I think I should pay a visit there.

According to the dev blog anchored bubbles don't work in Thera. Is that still true?

If so these would have been dictor bubbles. (Or hictor but he stated the fleet warped off)

I wake up this morning and log in to EvE out of old habit to check skills before going to work. I undock in a Sabe, and there is Confessor sitting there... he lock me up and starts shooting... Im in a Sabre so I quickly dock change ships to Rupture and undock. We fight, and its super close... I would have killed him but some random dude undocks in Vexor and finishes him off. In any case it was the 5th ever confessor killed! I have also looted it.

Next story will be how we brought in a freighter into Thera.

This one guy kept undocking in an ibis, we kept killing him. That's the extent of my Thera stories.

Also links are super fun to use in Thera because it's a pain in the ass for other people to probe them down.

i'd share my stories but they're equally lame. It's station games with 5 minute warps... all we need is tidi next and the cream will rise to the top.

So some alliance named FOX.HOUND starts camping station 13 with a Loki, cynabal, scimi, assorted light tackle and two Tornados. Ships undock, ceptors tackle it, nados blap it, rinse and repeat. Making insta undocks is crazy so people are freaking about being camped into station. It's pretty late but a ping in bombers bar to form a fleet. Most people are already upset/tired from trying to deal with them but from previous experience, I know that blapping insta nados doesn't require more than 3 or 4 bombers. I'm actually quite pleased with the 7-9 guys we get in fleet.

Although there is a lot of doubt voiced, "How do we fight off this 10-15 man fleet with just a few bombers" people are fairly disciplined listening to instructions. Everyone fits for max torp DPS, remove bomb launcher, wait at a perch by station 13. We watch the FOX.HOUND group blap a few more ships trying to undock as we get all our members set up with ships/probed into Thera and we devise our own plan.

Eventually everyone is formed up having come from all over New Eden. I warp in and move my bomber within 15 KM of the first nado. Being that close we were under its guns and as long as our align point was perpendicular the bs sized arty cannons had no chance of touching us. The main concern were all the ceptors and other fast tackle around. We'd have a small gap of time as they circled around and away from our targets.

The ceptors neared my position as i sat there within 15k of the tornado. Getting within 8,000 of me I nearly warped off myself but as the number grew greater so did the distance and my certainty. I made the call to have the other 6 bombers land on grid. Just then a ship undocked the station and the tornados quickly fired off getting aggression. At that moment we aligned out, uncloaked and let the torps fly.

Surprisingly the Scimi that had the nados already prelocked managed to keep the nado alive a couple seconds longer than expected. The nado dipped into hull with the first volley, gained its shields back to max, and then died with the 2nd volley. And then as always...we vanished.

A good portion of their fleet docked up after that but we knew that they had been doing this all day and they wouldn't give up so easily. Everyone reset on a perch and waited. Someone had needed to dock for some reason and were stuck in a station. A friendly member of the fleet attempted to provide an insta warp away for the stranded bomber pilot but in the process ended up giving his ship to the dark endless abyss.

FOX.HOUND feeling a little but more confident reset once again. And as it was getting later and later there were less opportunities for us to shoot at an aggressed nado. So being the adaptable bunch we are, we made our own opportunity. One of our members had a brick tanked proteus in the station. We set up once again, this time on the other nado and made the call for the prot to undock. The 2nd engagement was fairly similar to the first. The nado was repped for a brief moment and then collapsed under the torp onslaught. However this time they all docked up and called it a night for the most part.

I FCed another night where we did the same thing to them. One of their members had an "Ah-Q" (look it up) moment and told us we weren't really winning because he KNEW we were going to uncloak bombers and kill him and that means that he let us do it so there was no skill involved and didn't really count.

Fascinating.

Thera's a nice little pvp hub with unrivaled reach all over New Eden. Anyone that really enjoys small gang/cloaky warfare would be a fool not to make use of it. Some groups like the newly formed Shadow Garrison operate almost exclusively within Bombers Bar within Thera. Others such as my own Hades Effect will do some of that but mostly use Thera as a launching pad for mercenary and piracy all over New Eden and other wormholes. Either way there is plenty to do for everyone all around.
