{REPOST FROM INDUSTRY}

Hello all.

I'm wondering if a business information system would be useful for people playing as industrialists.

During the past two months I'm developing a web application that provides dashboards and advanced analytics on stock replenishment , production forecast and of course sales. My application is based on historical information on purchase and sale orders.

It will use complex algorithms (based on many years of experience mostly instead of maths) , providing pivot table views, user defined parameters, graphs on an own hosted database (Azure).

It will be based on CREST Restful API using Microsoft .NET C#, Entity framework, SQL Server. In the future I plan to provide an OData WebAPI based API .

Since I'm already in development of this application (for real life), I need your opinion if you would like to see something like that for EVE.

Everyone knows that debugging is twice as hard as writing a program in the first place. So if you are as clever as you can be when you write it, how will you ever debug it?

If it is a major effort to make it work for EVE (the kanban system you are making in RL) then don't worry about it.

The tables etc and views look to be for a review to senior management, the average eve player has a spreadsheet or uses eve "isk per hour"

the stock replenishment part is the only thing id actually like to see, an alert (kanban card) saying we need to re-order 2000000000000000000 units of tritanium, would help optimize it, but its not a full time job, its a game you play in your spare time. so such alerts would probs fall on deaf ears.

tl:dr up to you if you want to make it.

i probs wont use it.
