p.s. Really, you played before and didn't know that scams are allowed?

And now you QQ about it, even to CCP. You do know what they do with your petition? They print it out, enlarge it and put it next to the water-heater (cause dont' think in Iceland you want cooled water) and gives them a nice point and laugh topic during their breaks.

Good bye, your limited amount of stuff, can I have it?

Scams are allowed because they are easily avoided.

Now that I've clarified the situation for you, can I have your stuff?

No! Please stay - this game need more easy marks.

On another note, I've actually formed a foundation against scamming. We're low on funds at the moment but donation from you would make a world of difference and together we could teach them a lesson.

Scams

A scam is what happens when someone takes advantage of your misplaced trust, temporary confusion or ignorance of game rules, and robs you via legal in-game means. When this occurs, there is nothing the Support Team can do for you. Although low and despicable, scams do not violate any game mechanics and can not be compensated for by the GMs, nor can the scammers generally be punished for their actions.

What! Scamming is allowed???!?!?

I'm quitting too. I hate risk, creative gameplay, and a player driven, ever changing environment. Those things suck.

I wonder if there is an MMO where everyone just hugs and colors together.... That would be hipsterriffic.

Seeing an active market order but that order is no longer available is considered normal behavior of the market or exploit ?

The buy order likely was fulfilled by someone else right before you tried to sell your items. Remember the entire EVE market, with the exception of some NPC seeding here and there, is player-driven, on both the buying and selling side. Those are other players that you are buying from, and other players you are selling to. Personally, I love it.

So, if i plant a buy order and then i cancel it it will still show up as a buy order ? Because i know for sure that the same player that sold one item had a buy order for the same item.

It's either that or he got greedy and fell for a margin trading scam, in which case I feel that Nelson is an appropriate response.

Any change to a market order, including creation is subject to a 5 minute cooldown where no new changes may be made. This means if you create an order you wish to cancel, you must wait 5 minutes. Orders that are cancelled disappear instantly and cannot be located by other players; the exception being for players already looking at that item in the market window, but it will disappear upon next refresh which should only be a few seconds.
