Something new for logi pilots?

This topic is both a request and idea:

Request is to add a new "step" in logistics "career" between t2 logistics cruiser and a carrier with triage module.

Idea for this that I currently have in my mind is a battleship size ship that is able to fit capital logistics module (with a greatly reduced effect) or large modules (with increased effect so it would be better than t2 cruiser logi)..

This can be made as series of 4 ships (1 t2 BS per race) or something like Gnosis (1 ship can do all).

Why? Well there is a HUGE gap between carrier and t2 cruiser and there is no ship that can fill it (except Nestor but c'mon... that is not what it is designed for and it only has bonus to armor rep (a really small bonus) ). And I think all logi pilots would want to see something new in their hangar.

Also there are currently only few implants that somehow help logistics pilots (the ones that reduce capacitor usage) .. maybe that can be fixed too ?

P.S. please don't make mess of this topic especially if you never were a logistics pilot. Roll

how is this idea different to any of the other battleship logi threads?

As both a Logi pilot and a Triage pilot, anything bigger and better than a t2 logi cruiser but smaller than a carrier is likely to be overpowered as hell. Even just a ship with the same fittings, bonuses, and range as a t2 logi cruiser but double the EHP on a BC or BS hull would be crazy powerful.

Most of the time logi's are volleyed off the field before reps can be applied. Double the buffer and time for friendly logi to get on them, and you increase their survivability in combat by a scale of far more than 2x.

It's not

As a logi pilot i can tell you there is no need for this and will be the first to admit that the T2 logi are already extremely powerful able to rep BS with no problem if anything T2 logi need an EHP nerf so its harder to web tank them we don't need a tankier more powerful variant

Yet another logi/carrier pilot chiming in to say this is a bad idea.

Where is the gap between t2 cruiser and carrier repping/transfer wise?

You have some more options in a carrier for triage (if mod fit) and jumping. And the need to bring fuel for it. Its not a massive paradigm shift here, repping is repping.

The only difficulty in this gap leap seems to have the ability to listen and follow simple instructions. As seen in carrier pilots who for whatever reason hear the FC say "NO MORE CYCLES, I REPEAT NO MORE CYCLES!!!" as gotcha FC, one more cycle and waste everyone's time as they cover their ass letting an unneeded cycle run out. Me...if I ran the world or the op....I'd let these people rot and face their own fate tbh. I am sure after 1 or 2 deaths when left to die alone with no FRP/SRP...they will learn to listen to fc commands in comms better lol.

Since the new hull part of this thread has been bashed to death I'll focus on the question regarding implants.

Currently the skill hardwiring implants (funnily enough) enhance the effect of a particular skill, I.e. Remote armour repair, capacitor emissions, shield emissions - and generally speaking these are the only implants from hardwiring which benefit logo pilots, - if there were skills you could train which decrease cycle time / increase range / increase amount (this should/will never happen) then the hardwiring implants for those skills would also be useful.

I strongly doubt a set of faction implants will be created for logistics modules, so the last implants are the 'custom' ones, I.e. Zor's navigation hyperlink etc, - you might find implants there which help fulfil a logistics role, but I doubt it.

I'm only a new logistics pilot, but the attitude amongst players is that logo needs nerfing/rebalancing - which, as a person who flies logistics in incursions so I can do shenanigans in lowsec, does make me wary, but yes: logistics doesn't need any new toys.

You should have enough control over your herd of cats to make them understand. If they constantly make misstakes, get better cats.

Logi is Perfect where it is now. I don't want to run into t2 do everything tank everything logi battleships.

Fly a nestor around if you're that desperate.
