ship+weapon system training advice - legion or loki for 0.0 BR?

o/

A month ago, I was living in Angel low sec. I decided the first T3 I wanted was a legion, for a few reasons - angel-specific T2 resists chief amongst them.

however, my corp just split from our old alliance, and I now find myself living in some very nice blood raider 0.0 space.

So what's the deal?

I am currently relying on my trusty drake to belt rat and run anything short of a haven. so for my next month of training, I need to adapt.

I have already completed amarr cruiser V. Just need to train T2 lazors and subsystem skills for the legion. This is my preference, personally. However, having used amarr t1 hulls against the blood raiders, with t1 guns, I get the feeling hat, despite having optimal dps, even with the legion ill be fighting an uphill battle for tank.

Which brings me to the loki. Optimal T2 resists, capless guns, semi-immunity to TDs, gtfo-ability... I can see the upside, I really can. I'm just not really a fan of minmatar.

Sorry to go on for so long. What I need to know, is can I take full advantage of the pve content (sanctums, ded sites, combat sites) in a legion? and if so, I would greatly appreciate guidance and examples of fits, tactics, etc.

Or, should I be altering my plan to train for the loki? Is it really that much of a better choice? Specific to the topic - pve in 0.0.

Thanks in advance, and please ignore my bad grammar, I write this on a mobile on the bus ^.^

TL;DR - blood raider 0.0 pve. legion or loki? Why? Thx

Are you ninja ratting in someone else's sov space? If so, the loki has more agility and speed, which can help GTFO when things get nasty. However, if you are not well supplied then t1 crystals could well be your savior since the loki in AC fit can burn through ammo rather quickly, and has medicore DPS in arty setups.

If not ninja ratting, why not just fly a cheap Apoc to rat in? I mean, it is insurable, and it can tank Blood rats rather well, and do pretty good damage to them too. Sure, it is a bit less survivable, but it has the range to stay aligned rather well, without having to constantly move back toward the NPCs, and it can't warp through bubbles, but you can dscan for them anyway. It can't warp while cloaked, but a t3 that can is a terrible ship to rat in anyway.

IMO if you really want to stick with t3: Tengu (no TD worries, 100mn ab fit tanks nearly anything), then Loki (EM resists are nice if you know that is what you are going to be fighting), Legion (Great ship but with lasers, and NPC TDing, you will probably need to be in neut range to hit with scortch, and that isn't good at all in a t3), then Protues (not a great resist profile, and an Ishtar is probably better for PVE)

for blood raider 0.0 pve use a zealot or sacri.... coz when you loose your t3 it will hurt more than loosign a hac.

but IF youneed to use a legion or loki do both.

legion with lasers for belt ratting and a buffer loki for the 10/10's when you have a dedicated logistic and a dps ship to help you.
the natural armour resis of the loki will go far.

as stupid as it sounds i used to use a devoter for 10/10 tanking and a guardian to rep me.. with that ever dedicated dps monster was near by.

I don't think any of the T3's have bolts that need to be tightened (if they get loose)
