Pve Lvl3 Myrm fit?

I've been looking around and I'm having a hard time trying to find a lvl 3 myrmidon fit. Is the myrmidon bad for pve? Should I just use one of the other 2? My goal is to get into a domi eventually because I've been told how important drones are. I will soon be able to use most tech 2 other than weapons heavy drones and sentries. And some rigs I believe. But I'm jus curious what you guys would recommend?

Would it be wise to invest in faction drones as long as I keep an eye on them and make sure they don't die until I can use all the tech 2's?

If your drones skills are better than your rail skills then use Myrm, sentry drones are preferred as you don't wait for your drones to travel to the target.

I prefer Brutix as it just simplifies things, then again I am usually playing on multiple accounts so managing drones is somewhat bothersome in my case.

Well I haven't really been working on hybrid skills that much because I'm looking at the rattlesnake to be my lvl 4 mission runner eventually. So I'll probably go myrm -> Domi -> Rattlesnake once I get my missile skills up to par.

Honestly you're probably better off with a Vexor Navy than a myrm. The myrm's tiny drone bandwidth really hurts it. The VNI can do basically all of the L3s just fine, and faster than the myrm.

Chris' recommendation is sound, If you are training to rattlesnake, I would also consider using Gila as it is a more natural progression.

It's a lazy man's fit,but I've found it gets the job done just fine. You can drop an LSE for an OmniDirectional Tracking Link if you can control aggro well.
Use bouncers if mission spawns rats at a distance.

Consider the following fit. For me, it does over 500 combined drones & guns DPS, and has an over 300 DPS omni tank.

Fitting it with faction-specific hardeners results in an over 500 DPS tank against Serpentis/Guristas, with Angels being the weakest (check EFT with your skills for specific numbers). There should be absolutely no level three mission that causes you to sweat when flying this. I use it to run level 4's regularly, just for the challenge - it requires some aggro management in high-DPS areas when using sentries at close range, but you can also fit it for long-range sentry combat as an option, and use Spike ammo.

Confirming this is a solid fit. It's a little overtanked for L3s though. I would get at least 2 Omnidirectional Tracking Links and 1 Drone Damage Amp on there. With a mission specific hardener setup you shouldn't have any trouble tanking L3s especially with the solid dps and projection the Myrm has.

Way too much tank, also omnitank for missions is just a curseword, its not hard to carry full set of hardeners and swap depending on enemy, get used to it. Also missionships need atleast 2 dmg modules.

Of course it's over-tanked. This is the fit I use to run level 4's. I posted it as an example of a solid PVE fit for a Myrm. Feel free to adapt it as you want to fit your requirements. My fit allows it to meet the 'tank + gank > 1000 DPS' rule.

So far as I know, the Myrmidon is the only BC hull that can do that with a vanilla T2 fit.

This is more suited to L3s, this setup gets a better tank for the same number of slots compared to a single rep with more resists. I set it up for Angels cause that's the weakest faction and it has 300dps Angel tank with 650dps dealt with Antimatter and Gardes. It will be plenty for any L3 and for Serpentis/Sansha/Guristas you should be able to drop a little tank for more dps mods. The Omnis are invaluable and make the sentries far more effective allowing Gardes to hit up to 70km if needed since you can't really bring spare sentries on the Myrm.

i did my l3s in sniper myrm. wardens/bouncers, sebo, omnidlinks. mwd from enemies and killem from 60+km range where they cant hurt you.

I used a gila for lv3 and soon realized that most of my time was spent flying from mob group a to group b.
Or fly to some hub/transport/container. I was way too much flying and not enough shooting.
Than a friend told me that I can just use my lv4 mission ship (after reading this forum I thought lv 3 is restricted to bc or lower -.-)
Next time I raise a faction I will use this for lv3 or simply go for lv4 missionship with less tank.
